Volume Pricing on Offers

I have Volume Pricing setup on one of my items. If a person sends me an offer on an item and I accept the lower price, does the volume pricing discount kick in on the lower offer price I agreed to if they buy multiples of my item?

In my experience, both the price AND the quantity are part of the offer.   So you set X quantity for $Y price each.  Once offered, I've never had any other of my discounts kick in and somehow get applied.  But to be honest, it's been a while since I've turned on 'Best Offer' on any listing of mine.

I remove best offer on my volume pricing listings due to the confusion that can result. Its my understanding that the "quantity" listed in the offer or counter offer is a per item price on that agreement only. It surpasses the volume pricing deal. If you accept their offer on say 1 quantity of (item) for $20 per item then that transaction is separate from the volume pricing from your listing.
