I posted a card valued at 5$ and I wasn't aware of this subtitle fee. So I clicked "sports cards trading" as subtitle. So it's trying to charge me 2$. I re listed it and took off the subtitle but it's still there. Is there a way around this fee for future preference? They already rob us with fees after selling items and now this? Does anyone know a way around this fee? I'm new to selling so please any help is appreciated.

For the future..........don't use subtitle.......
take the subtitle off BEFORE you relist......otherwise it will be charged........
For the previous charge, if you call and plead ignorance as a new seller, sometimes they will give you a credit on it......

If you can't figure out how to remove the subtitle from the current active listing, then the best strategy would be to start from scratch with a new blank listing form. You can copy and paste the Description from the listing that got stuck with the subtitle.
Here's a link to the basic fees page where you can see the cost of the various optional listing upgrades (subtitle, reserve, etc.). You can also see the listing fees at the bottom of the listing form, just before you launch the listing.

The only way around it is to not use subtitles.
Those fees are not refundable.

Ok so I should take it down and reset the listing then? And I appreciate the feedback

I wasn't aware of this subtitle fee
In my browser, it shows the fee right next to the subtitle field, and again next to the List It button. It also explains that the fee is non-refundable, and applies whether the item sells or not.
Does anyone know a way around this fee?
Yes - don't use the optional subtitle feature in the future.

Some new sellers on eBay pay hundreds of dollars in tuition to the "School of not paying attention to what you are agreeing to or to the warnings on the screen". You got that same lesson for just $2 - consider it a bargain.
Ok so I should take it down and reset the listing then?
I would, but that is just me.

You've already been charged for the subtitle, so there's no rush to end the listing. But do it before the next time it rolls over, if it hasn't sold yet.

When you make a mistake in creating your listing, you pay for the mistake. This mistake had only a small fee as a penalty, other mistakes can be more expensive.
Ebay does not forgive you for your mistakes. You own them.
We all get to learn this lesson, some have to lose more before they learn. $2 was a tiny bit of tuition could be a lot worse.
