I have been recording my daily total fund balance every night at very close to 1 am MST (midnight PST/end of eBay day). My payouts are set up for weekly on Tuesday at 4 am. Assuming no sales between 1 am and 4 am from Sunday to Monday my Daily Total Fund on Sunday should be my payout I was thinking. My funds currently process for 24 hours so I do not include Monday sales after 4 am.
eBay appears to take out Taxes, Advertisement (Promoted listing fee), and 12% (reduced percentage as have a store) commission charge as well as the .30 Final Value Fee before putting the funds in the available funds balance. However, my weekly deposit never completely matches my Sunday night daily total fund balance.
Skipping this week the prior four weeks have looked like this;
My August 2 Sunday balance was $513.00 and my payout on Tuesday was $504.35 ($8.65 difference)
My July 26 Sunday balance was $746.71 and my payout on Tuesday was $711.77 ($34.94 difference)
My July 19 Sunday balance was $616.32 and my payout on Tuesday was $608.01 ($8.31 difference)
My July 12 Sunday balance was $771.58 and my payout on Tuesday was $755.68 ($15.90 difference)
I am trying to track a daily profit/loss calendar and although these differences are not large it is really frustrating me why I can't figure out what is causing my numbers to be off. Thanks so much for the help in balancing my books and figuring out where my error is.

You've been on eBay since 1998 and have over 4k items listing and probably selling close to, if not more than 2k items per month and you don't know that the total balance versus the processing versus the available balance? Also to keep yourself sane you should be tracking your numbers monthly and not daily as when tracking daily they will be all over the place. Your numbers are off most likely because you are either purchasing labels, promoted listings fees(if you use them and an item sells via PL's,), return labels etc... It's quite easy to look up on your transactions, what is available & what is pending/processing. eBay isn't doing anything wrong, you're just not reading and/or understanding the payouts to processing and what is coming out. Any promoted listings fee's, return labels, shipping labels and store fee's will come out of your available balance. Show us a screen shot of your available versus you processing. For example my total funds right now is $216.13 and my available is $-182.14(purchased shipping labels today), on hold is $31.53 & processing is $366.74 so my payout is going to be whatever finishes processing today(don't feel like looking but it's around $100 or so). I am on a weekly payout because I like to do instant payouts so my payments don't clear until 1-2am the next day which is why my available hasn't changed yet.

I think trying to balance your books on a daily basis seems like a huge amount of work with no payoff at the end for it. Why not just use the amount they actually deposit on those daily books and not worry about the balance.

Adyen 'sends' the money that has been given to them. If you have 5 orders in 1 hour, 2 days later they COULD send you just 4 of those monies- as they may have NOT received the payment from 1 of the 5 orders. Different banks and credit cards process and pay the payee at different rates.
For instance; typically Visa & MC are faster than American Express and Discover.

This is it right here. If you just have to do daily books then I would suggest completely divorcing it from the deposit amounts. Those numbers are not meaningful long term.

Can't you just see what the payout itself consisted of and 'reverse engineer' your calculations?
Click Payout ID for a detailed breakdown and see whats not in alignment.

My eBay standard labels come out during the day on Wednesday. USPS labels come out basically as soon as I make the purchase.
I see the processing vs. available balance. After 24 hours (I have not noticed a difference of time with any payment) the numbers go from processing to available I do see the total funds and am aware those are funds of processing plus available).
I don't mean to imply eBay is doing something wrong I am frustrated because I can't figure out where my math - although it is close - is getting off (and with this slow time I am really trying to figure it out). It sounds like I need to maybe watch closer the transfer from pending to available as It seemed all transactions were at the 24 hour pending period. I will start tracking all three numbers.
I guess for me running a daily total is normal. I have always felt the longer you don't do something the more difficult it gets to do/challenging to figure out if not corrected or looked at quickly.

That is actually what I spent a couple days trying to do but can't find where my numbers are off and will continue doing that however, figured I'd check to see if someone saw something obvious where I was off 🙂

Your Balance in your account is NOT necessarily your Payout amount. Your Balance will include payments that have not yet cleared. So you likely had a sale, after FVFs and shipping that was for $8.65. It will be on your next payout.
When you look at your Summary page for your Payment account. Your total funds appear at the top in the blue box. That is the total you have in your MP account for cleared and uncleared amounts. Just below that you will see Available funds. Those are the funds that have cleared and will appear on your next payout.
And just below that number is the amount of sales that has not yet cleared. It takes 1-2 days for payments to clear.

What I was trying to get at was that the differences in the amounts look like a shipping label could have been purchased on a Mon......which would have meant that amount was deducted from the Sun. nite total.........and leave with a lesser payout amount for Tues.

@cards98765 While I don't monitor it as closely as you do some payout delays may be caused by the Buyer's funding source for their payments. eBay has gotten much better at "Processing" weekend sales so they actually appear on the Tuesday Payout (other than on the 7-9 weekends where there is a Monday Bank Closing holiday). And by "weekend" sales I mean any that are PAID by close of day Sunday evening. However, there are some that don't make it. Sometimes EVERY weekend sale gets paid out Tuesday AM and at other times some don't.
For sales that come in on Monday after lunch (I have one day shipping) the label gets printed Tuesday morning after I receive my Weekly Payout ... if I print those labels Monday night that money comes out of the Available Funds for the Tuesday Weekly Payout.

This is what always lowers my payout.
OP---did you look to see if you printed any labels on Monday?
