Received an email this morning from a newly registered bidder from the Ukraine. The broken English message said that she liked my most expensive item. She attached a picture of my listing, but she is listing it on some site in the Ukraine. She said that she is going to update my description and make it better and that my item will be seen by many more potential buyers world wide. She also included a link for me to click on to see the listing. This is very strange in that this came through Ebay's messaging system. I know that they do not let you put your email in a message and I would think the same goes for links. Anyhow, I didn't click on the link and I blocked this person from bidding on any of my items. This is a scam of some sort, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else out there in the Ebay community. Thanks!!

Yes, recently I've got 2 similar messages with links offering to make my store and listings look better. I blocked the senders and didn't open the links. I couldn't find an option to report them to eBay. I don't know from where are the senders.

Thanks for the reply, I was thinking about calling customer service but I didn't have enough time to sit on hold. Too busy canceling auctions and relisting my items to get new item numbers (if you know what I mean 🙂 GTC )

If the message is like the ones I have seen, they are likely collecting contact information of folks that respond to those messages for use in some sort of scam at a later date. Similar messages have been going around eBay for years; they just change the wording slightly to avoid the filters.
