Had a buyer who was interested in some of my items that are dated 1885 in the title. When he searched they do not show up. Ive searched the keyword "1885" in my store and It shows 0 items. I have 20 or so items that are dated 1885 in the title, description and in item specifics. Called ebay and rep told me "wow thats weird" but nothing has been done thus far. Has anyone had this happen before ? other dates show when i search by date but not "1885".

As is "sac" , "Zuni" also did not show up when searched. Had to send the buyer the item number for him to see it and purchase it.

I am experiencing the same thing. I was just on a call with Ebay customer service for 35 min (SMH) and they said this is an issue they are working on resolving, they have been doing so for at least the last three days. 😞

I reported this last year, suppose to have open a ticket then, I may put in one word and nothing in my search but if I add two or more then they show.

Any updates on this issue after it was reported. I just noticed it a few days ago in my store, and, came to the boards to see if it was just me.
My search is not only completely off in my store, but, it is even off if I got through myEbay>selling>active listings.
I had an inquiry from a interested buyer about some speaker measurements. I was looking to see how many of these speakers I had listed. I then searched in my stores page with the word speaker, well it came back with 3, I knew that was wrong, I then checked my active listings and its the same thing, 3. My most recent vehicle I listed from was a Civic, so, i searched Civic Speaker and it pulled up 5. I read this entire post and all replies and seen mention of using quotation marks. I then used the quotation marks and it showed 63 listings, and, this was still wrong. (I noticed when I used the quotation marks it did not display any of the 3 listings when I just used the word speaker with no quotation marks) !
I then started searching various things, and, it is a complete mess. .. ...
I have tried 2 different browsers(laptop), clear cache(well clear everything), and, even my cell phone.

No updates, and now even more keywords are not showing up in store search or overall search. Problem is getting worse every day.

Hi, my name is Lorenz Mae, please allow me a few moments to catch up on your conversation so far.
Hello Shawn, good day! I understand that you are contacting us regarding your item not showing up on your store, is that correct?
Yes, these are nothing that are new items. The best way to show you my issue is when I first noticed it(this was days ago). I had a customer looking for a speaker, I wanted to see how many I had left, I headed to my store and searched the word speaker
And it was way off, it only showed 3 listings.
I even checked my active listings with a search their and it was the same. I headed to the message boards for help and someone suggested using "speaker" (with quotations), and, when i do that it shows 63 listings which is still wrong.
Thank you for reaching out to us about this matter.
Let me check on this for you Shawn.
May I know what category did you use to list the items?
They are different categories, some may be an actual speaker, and, some may be a wire or screws related to the speaker but are attached to the interior or door panel.(everything except maybe a couple items is listed in eBay Motors)
Thank you.
Do you happen to have an example listing or item number for the listings that aren't showing up on your store?
Go to my store and search the word Speaker (it will show 3 listings) then search my store for the same word but use quotations, "speaker" and it will show 63 listings. Its strange but you will see what I am talking about.
I was able to see that in here Shawn.

I've observed that also searching my own items from to time. More so as of late. Sold an item this morning with a particular catalog number where I thought I had items that were similar. When I tried a search for the item (I still had more identical stock) the search did not bring up that item. Unsure if it needs to be an exact match or not. In the past a partial match would bring up ALL results. This makes it look like eBay is hiding items when a buyer searches. Search used to work well when using the search bar. As of the past few years, not so much. If anyone else wants to try a test with my listings and pass on the results it would be appreciated. As many others have noted in the past, searching several times can bring up different results each time. Your results may vary.

Same thing is happening for me. I’ll schedule a listing for 4:00pm and it doesn’t show in search results for 12+ hours and at that point it’s 3 or 4 pages deep and never displayed as a fresh listing, so nobody will ever see it. When is this going to be fixed? It’s been almost a month at this point and I’ve removed all of my listings because of it.

I have noticed the same. It is as wild as searching for something on eBay.
I went to find my active rolling pin listings in my active listings page search and used 'rolling pin'. Nothing! I then used 'wood rolling pin' and they popped up.
