I've seen plenty of complaints from sellers about getting screwed by eBay & now I'm part of the list. Buyer wants a refund for something he never returned nor has proof it was even mailed but eBay sides with him & gives a full refund! Sellers ALWAYS must provide tracking. Why isn't it true for buyers??! Bull**** !!! My attitude as a seller just changed vastly. Going to use this site less. Give them less fees! Although, at 1 sale per day, can't use it less without making sure I get 0 sales a day!!!! Good luck to us all!

Does it allow you to appeal?
Have you tried reaching out to e-bay on social media?

Sorry to hear you have joined the Seller ranks of those of us who are frustrated about e-Bay Buyer Refund Express. (Refund the Buyer, see if we need to address it later).
Good luck. At least on social media they will listen to you.

did you answer the return case and send a return label? If not, ebay will give an automatic refund. If you did, I would certainly appeal the case.

Not enough information.

You're getting one sale a day?!? I wish my sales were that good! Of course, it would probably help if I were actually trying to sell something people want to buy, but...
I know this probably won't help in your current situation, but you might want to review the eBay rules again, so that they're fresh in your mind the next time this happens to you:
The eBay rules:
1. The buyer is NEVER wrong.
2. The seller is NEVER right.
3. If the buyer is ever wrong, refer back to rule 1.
4. If the seller is ever right, refer back to rule 2.

I didn't mean to accept this as a solution. lol I was not paying attention I guess. 😛 I was in contact with eBay before they even gave the refund. On their backs about wanting proof he even mailed it back! They don't give a ****!! Also emailed after the fact & have been ignored. Told them what I thought of this asinine policy.

It was a graded sports card & he was not happy with the condition. What??! He said he would mail it back & I would refund when received. Never received it. So then he went for the refund. I mailed it to him with tracking. No return tracking info was provided.

Please take a look at some of the questions you have been asked in this thread. You haven't given us enough detail to be able to tell where things went sideways. For example, if you sent the buyer a return label in response to the return request, and he didn't use it (i.e. no evidence from tracking that the label was ever used), you might be able to get the outcome reversed on appeal.

That's where you made a mistake.
You never want to get Ebay involved until you get the item back and the buyer has been refunded.
If you try fighting it, they can refund the buyer and let them keep the item.

Did eBay take money from you for the refund? Or did they pay it themselves as a courtesy refund?
