Standard Envelope Labels NOT WORKING!!!!!

Seriously does eBay think before they make changes? Standard envelope labels is not working for sports cards due to a category deletion!!!! So are we to ship first class when the buyer has only paid for standard envelope shipping because a change was made without thinking of what the change would cause. This is absolutely unacceptable! Switch it back NOW!!!!!!

Typical eBay high fees "Zero"  customer service.  Standard Shipping isn't working, can't even find a legit number to call. The old Sports Card categories were perfect had all the different sports broken out and now one category, what a bunch of simpletons . Most 10 year old's can write better code. I guess we know why the programmers are working for eBay and not Apple or Microsoft.....

Coming up on 24 hours since this started....still can't print the orders from yesterday. 

No announcement they're working on it, no admission they broke some code....pulling down my listings in a few mins to avoid more orders getting stuck in the abyss.

It's rare i want someone fired, but whoever approved this code change to production needs to no longer work at eBay.

This is the method I will use temporarily BUT it could affect our seller rating, meaning I am very close to being rated a top rated seller so these items will show that no tracking was uploaded. I sell mostly low end cards so I have been loving the Standard Envelope shipping option. It’s definitely not perfect but much better than PWE.

But the code didn't produce errors, which is all that programmers would care about in testing. That's why you don't just have programmers test new code; you have people familiar with actually using the site test it also. Unless you're eBay, apparently.

It's working now for new sales. Are they going to fix the sold listings that do not provide the PWE shipping option? Anyone know or has anyone heard anything from their "customer service" reps?

I chatted with ebay yesterday and their solutions were awful, and labor intensive for me.   They did acknowledge the glitch, and well, it hasn't resolved this morning, which means I can't ship any of my items.

I think we just have to keep harassing them until they fix this, which will cause delays.

Now I have to notify all of my buyers of their issue.   I wonder if we the sellers can charge ebay a service fee for this inconvenience.

Can you share how you are getting it to work for a new listing?  Just tried doing a new entry this morning and tried all of the categories associated with "Ebay Standard Envelope" including stamps, coins and trading cards and not having any luck getting the Standard Envelope option to be available for a new entry.  Thanks for any insight.

Are you going to reimburse us for using the media mail/first class shipping since your developers screwed up? And messed with something that WASN’T broken? I doubt you all will reimburse every single seller that has to bite the bullet on shipping and actually lose money on all fronts while you sit back and still get your money from the listing? Thanks much appreciated.

I won't ship until the problem is resolved, and I have notified my buyers, but I have several auctions ending daily, so this falls on ebay.   

You can't create a shipping system for sellers, and then remove it, at the expense of the seller.

I'm new to these message boards but tyler@ebay pointed to an article saying it was resolved, but I just had a card sell for $10.99 and the buyer paid $0.99 for the eBay Standard Envelope shipping but the only options are First Class Package for $3.49 or Media Mail for $2.89.  So this does not appear to be resolved.  I guess I just need to end my 106 listings and relist them individually.  What a pain!
