In the sports card world, anything Mahomes is in the toilet right now! Get your hands on any cards for Rueben Bain Jr. Undoubtedly, the top defensive player in all of college football! He will definitely be a first round pick- if not the first selection overall.

That’s not what I’m doing. I don’t have any listings for that player. Just a general conversation that wasn’t intended to be scrutinized by the eBay police ……..

I'm not the eBay police.  I am free to point out that this doesn't need to be posted on these forums, and since it's your only post so far, and you do sell similar items, it was suspicious.

It might be a worthwhile discussion in the Sports Cards section of the forums, but here in the general Selling forum it just feels like clutter.

Yes, the Ebay card vault allows you to bet on individual games relative to card value.  Bet on a great performance by a star player and if they indeed have that good game the card can go up in value the next day.  Of course a bad game has the opposite effect.  And all the while Ebay takes a small cut and the card rarely leaves the vault.

Most top first round draft picks still have their rookie cards eventually crash in value.  Nearly all modern cards trend down in value over time.  When I end up with a good modern card I treat it like it is going to catch on fire if I don't get rid of it fast enough.

Yeah Mahomes cards not doing well right now. Bain Jr. looks strong and has good perfomance this season. Might be smart to hold few of his cards.

   I'm not the eBay police but I've forewarded this to the Central Scrutinizer for review...............(It's his job to enforce laws that haven't even been passed yet)....LOL...LOL...LOL

I don't even sell sports cards, but find this topic interesting and very appropriate for a sellers' board. 

People here may have forgotten what these boards were originally for - discussion.

I do see Bain is selling for good prices currently, time to check my boxes and see if I have any to list! The downside to defensive players is they rarely hold the same value as offensive players. I agree with @onefootflipper in selling while the player is hot.
