I have sold some items that had release dates as far as 4-5 months past the sold date (customer bought aware of this). Usually I would go to my shipping tab to ship items I have sold when available. These items disappeared without my acknowledgment. I found out once the customer emailed me with the order information.
So I called eBay and spoke to someone offshore that was incredibly unhelpful. They could pull the item up but could not tell if it was shipped. They told me to open a case with usps and provide the item number and in exchange they would give me the tracking information. Well, no they CAN NOT do this. So I had my customer open up a missing items case... eBay messed that up too. eBay collected the money from these sold items but because they haven’t shipped the funds are still in Limbo. I don’t have the funds, neither does the customer. eBay has them and I’m not getting the help I need! How can I get these items to show again? This is completely irritating because I use eBay as a tool to track what I sold and if they are deleting sold items that haven’t even been marked as shipped how in the heck am I supposed to keep track of it?

You sold item's that you did not have in stock?
Buyer paid for items?
Now buyer wants refund because you cannot ship said items that were not in stock?
Am I missing something here?

What you're doing is against eBay policy, all pre-orders must be shipped within 30 days of sale. EBay has always removed sold items after 90 days.

Just for your information here are the rules for pre sales:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-policies/presale-listings-policy?id=4252
You have to guarantee shipment in 30 days..............not 4 or 5 months............
have your customer file a INR claim in paypal............

ebay removes sold listings after 90 days, even the ones from your own archives because they are so eager to sell that information to worthpoint.

If you are going to keep doing what you are doing then you need to be printing hard copies of the order details page so that you will have a record with customers information or at the very least take a screenshot of your customers details. eBay to my knowledge has always removed a sellers transactions after 90 days.
