I posted an item to the buyer a few weeks ago with standard shipping (no tracking) and it was meant to take 1-2 days to ship. Its been a few weeks now and I've messaged the buyer since then but they won't respond. The money is on hold in paypal and has been like that for a few weeks now. Not sure what to do, any advice?

UPDATE: Money just went off hold in my paypal and I have access to the funds, I suspect the buyer was trying to pull some sort of scam as why would a parcel that should arrive to this guys house in 1-2 days take 3 weeks? Also, I recently filled out a missing parcel form for the item so I guess the post office contacted him some how and he just decided to finally pay me. Definitely only using tracked shipping from now on to avoid these potential scams.

Do you have online viewable tracking showing delivery to the address on the order? If not the money will not be released until 21 days have passed and if buyer files a not received case they will be refunded

When the OP mentioned "standard shipping (no tracking)", I assumed he was saying that he did not use tracking for this package and therefore there won't be any online viewable tracking. That's not how you interpreted it?

you failed to ship with tracking...it does not matter where the buyer lives
you are required to upload tracking by the ETA or it can be an automatic loss
my advice is to stop messaging the buyer

So what should I do then?

Just to make sure you know, if that buyer opens an item not received case, you'll be refunding him the total amount that he paid.

You are in Ireland.............UK/EU may have different rules.........

There is a specifically Ireland eBay, which operates in euros.
And there is a specifically UK ebay, which operates in pounds.
And there are several sites which operate in dollars, but the dollars of their own country, not the USA (Australia and Canada come to mind.)
Any seller can sell on any site.

Never sell anything without tracking.

Or the buyer just doesn't check messages or didn't care to respond.
Not everyone is a scammer, and without tracking the buyer could have filed an INR. Them not filing makes them not a scammer.
