So, anyone else notice their invoice is WAY too high?

Here we are again, yet another glitch or bug where now my account balance is about $400 too high. I wonder how many people have paid theirs without noticing this supposed "glitch"

I know I can't be the only one who has noticed the absolutely no "glitch" or "bug" has ever done anything other than hurt the sellers and help eBay. Sure would be nice if it worked out in our favor once.

Sign up for managed payments anyone?? I dread this day. With all the daily glitches, do we really want our actual money to be managed by Ebay? Such a scary thought.

I've already talked to my credit union … one time $16 to open a new account that is not tied to my personal accts, no monthly fee.  it can be linked to paypal to draw from so that I can remove my personal acct from paypal … doing this should put managed payment payments directly into the new acct, drawn on by paypal.  in effect allowing me to continue payments and purchases as I currently do … if all works as I hope - once I get into managed payments.  by this time neither ebay nor paypal will have access to my personal accounts... hope this gives others ideas

Sorry to continue this off-topic piece, but:  @dasarock did you ask if there is a transaction limit on that account?  Under managed payments you may get dispersals up to 25 times a month.  Some banks and CUs change a fee if you exceed their limit on EFT deposits.  Just wanted to make sure you didn't end up with an unpleasant surprise after you put this all in place.

@dtexley3

I asked that specificly and was told no limits at all on the acct.  electronic payment  transactions or transfer, nor even a minimum balance.  probably because I keep a very considerable balance in savings in my personal acct.  and no way I will let ebay or ayden have any kind of access to that.

Trenton, this is some really scary stuff for people, especially when they are switching to MP.  I sincerely hope Ebay is doing everything they can to stop these kinds of glitches.

Re: So, anyone else notice their invoice is WAY too high?

@Anonymous   Then would eBay please adjust the invoice to the correct, actual amount to be charged before the end of the month?

I want to see in writing, in an invoice, the actual amount that eBay will be deducting from my account.

I'm very worried that if I don't make the extra sales this month to cover eBay's incorrect overcharges, and eBay charges the incorrect invoiced amount, then eBay would have to go to my backup payment method, which would then cause an overdraft fee on my bank account.

This happened to me a couple years ago with an incorrect invoice. Despite assurances only the correct amount would be charged, eBay's overcharge cost me $34 in overdraft bank fees. Of course, eBay would not reimburse those bank fees caused by eBay's mistake.

okay, just clarifying as well, @Trinton - you are saying that the invoices are in the  process of being corrected right now for those of us who owe at the end of the month and the correct amounts will show on our dashboards in the next day or so?  Thank you.

Hi @tree*fern, we are working on getting the fee amount that is being displayed corrected as soon as possible.

Hi @etcism, I can't promise a time this will be resolved, but can confirm we are working to get the incorrect total fixed as soon as we can.

Re: So, anyone else notice their invoice is WAY too high?

I absolutely have had it with Ebay and all their **bleep**-ups and "glitches" that cost me money with hardly any sales ! I ended all my listings (almost 500) and downgraded to the starter store and I will only list rarer things that might not sell on Mercari, Poshmark or Etsy. Now I get my statement and I am being billed for Terapeak $9.19, Premium store subscription $74.95 and Selling Manager Pro $7.74 -I am the line now with an Ebay rep and I'm trying not to throw up or lose my **bleep** with them ! I know it is not their fault at CS, but this is so GOD **bleep** RIDICULOUS ! it is just constant chaos, aggravation, constant upheaval and disarray! God I hate Ebay !!!!!!!!

And what is going to happen when they start auto drafting all these fees from peoples credit cards or bank accounts ? This is fraud on Ebays part and there is no mention about this ANYWHERE !

Re: So, anyone else notice their invoice is WAY too high?

If you’re only listing a couple things then cancel your store subscription and use their free listings (won’t sell anyways lol) This is why they continue to screw us, cuz everyone continues to give them money for absolutely nothing. It no longer makes sense to sell here for 85% of the people in the forums. I come to the boards for entertainment. I’m done letting ebay troll me

This is very scary for people who are just scraping along, trying to make ends meet and some who are starving like me. It's been 4 days since my invoice went way over what I owe.

Re: So, anyone else notice their invoice is WAY too high?

Okay, I've seen several people comment that it appears they added last month's invoice (even though already paid) onto this month's invoice and that does appear to be the case with mine as well - the numbers just about add up right with an additional mysterious $20 + / - tacked on there.

So mine is still overcharged about $240/$250 ... I agree it is scary/worrisome...but trinton seemed to imply they already knew about this and were fixing them.  It is the weekend, so I'll give them until about mid-week and hope that it is fixed by then...and try not to worry too much - unless it gets too close to the end of the month and they aren't fixed yet 😞
