I just baught a pair of authentic vintage big Nikes from 2009 off of another seller and to my shock they didn't pass authentication. I know for a fact that these are authentic, I know of no fake Big Nikes and have owned the spike Lee Chicago's before, these are real. I got a decent price at auction, very favorable to me as a buyer and I am very disappointed that these authentic shoes failed.
I previously had a pair of Nike Dunk SB's thar I purchased off of eBay as well, and I am pretty sure they are authentic, but when I tried to sell them again eBay didn't authenticate them. This pair, I will need to have verified by the checkcheck app but it is sad because these shoes are denim and the quality is on point. Very sad about the first pair of shoes the most because o know for a fact those are authentic.

Here is a photo of the Big Nikes, I think true sneaker heads can appreciate and realize that they are truly authentic. I was the buyer so I am trying to work with the seller to see if there is a way he can send them without authentication.

So the people that have had them in hand say they are not authentic, but you know they are authentic from photographs. Okay. I would just move on.

I've seen the sneaker authentication program reject items because the company inspecting sliced through the shoe box when opening the outer packaging- then telling the seller that because of the cut in the box the sneakers were not as described in the listing. They reject them and send them back to the seller.
The Big Nikes could have been rejected for any reason- not necessarily because they weren't authentic.

If they are from 2009, they are not vintage.

Given the number of issues reported here relative to Ebay's shoe authentication program I am surprised that people are still using that service, especially in light that there are alternative platforms for selling high end mens "collector" shoes.

For sneakers, 2009 is vintage.
I would never try to sell things like this on eBay. Too many horror stories.

Update : I ended up buying the shoes off of the sale seller without authentication and having them in hand I can tell you they were 100% authentic. I've also learned that the eBay authentication program is a massive joke. They try to be like stockX but they are not stockX and they reject a lot of shoes that should pass, for example if the box is slightly damaged.
As a seller I even sold a pair of shoes that passed authentication but the buyer returned the shoes due to them not fitting and not only was the buyer refunded before I got the shoes but they came back slightly worn, with tags ripped off and he box was damaged.

I get that, however eBay has more traffic than other platforms so it makes it harder to transition elsewhere, because odds are you would get less sales.
