Hi - Sorry meanie! Just kidding. You were rough on him, but that does not make you a meanie generally speaking, but only to him specifically. He needed kindness & not to be reminded about what he already knew. Put yourself in his place. He is not even able to enjoy the beautiful Hawaii weather, but is stuck in nasty weather Britain. Besides, he maybe deserved about 20% or less of the bad feedback he got. Nasty buyers can be vicious critters. L

If you sell anything that is available in local stores or has competetive eBay sellers you are at a disadvantage. In the US those T shirts are a common commodity. I can't imagine a US buyer willing to pay shipping from the UK. If your buyers are mainly from the UK it could be fashion styles have changed as prone to do.
Good Luck.

Does Brexit have anything to do with your reduced sales?

As you are in the UK, have you posted on the UK boards to see if your peers in the UK are experiencing similar issues?
U.S. B&M stores are still offering deep discounts as many have yet to recover from the pandemic. Coupled with the huge saturation on the site with clothing listings would seem to create disparities in sales results?
With store owners given extra listings of up to 10k this spring, the US listings overall seem flooded in many categories.
The items we promote seem to sell. Those we do not, not so much. Good luck!

agree 100% with you. Not only that thy list a lot in the clothing category which can be a tricky category to make customers happy.
Thank you for your honest and helpful posting.
You are a refreshing poster to these boards.

Agree 100%.

My sales are plummeting over the last month. I used to sell through 99% of the items I listed. I just had about 15 items end tonight with 3 sales t the opening bid of 2.99. Same stuff I sold 3 months ago with 100% sell through and multiple bids on many. Has been the same but maybe not quite as bad for the last 30 days. Average sales were around $10,000 or more a month. They just dropped to just above $8,000 with tonights sales and the stuff in the system doesn't look real promising. I just had a bunch of fairly rare pieces sell for much less than normal in the last week and that's for cars foreign and Domestic which have always done good. Often items that would bring $1,000 or more for the night are bringing a few hundred.
I've noticed ebay seems to have really messed around with the search features recently which I'll bet is alot of the problem. Slow page loads don't help either and ebay not playing well with Safari and Firefox doesn't help the situation.

You're in a way crowded category - sales in clothing have been slowly sagging for years, and prices drifting down. I think the market has caught up with you - a lot of your listings you can really get most places. Others, like the lambs wool socks, are attractive but out of season. There may be some knock-on from Brexit if you sell a lot into the EU, but I think it's competition and the fact that people are tired of being online.

You are not alone buddy. We too in the same boat from the beginning of May. Things will pickup. All the best.

No. But, all that free money has dried up, and the fast inflation that comes with it took it all fast. Sell where the demand is, it shifts, plenty of sales here, plenty of job openings there. "When the silver ran out, the whiskey ran out, and then the beer ran out, and then the people ran out" (not verbatim, but that's from The Outlaw Josey Wales movie)

I noticed that my sells have dropped to zero I went from ten to twelve items a week to nothing. I going to assume it due to restrictions being lifted also most of my items can't be found in a retail store.

I haven't had a sale in 2 weeks. One month on another site I sell on and usually that site outdoes Ebay by a long shot. Hoping for the best for everyone. Have a great day!
