Lol I haven't sold a thing in three days (that's a new one on me) and am feeling completely shadowbanned at the moment. 🤣
How's everyone doing?
PS: No need to comment on my individual items and tell me I'm being dumb about this or that listing. Everything sells eventually. 😃

Hypothetical...........
If EVERY seller started using PL, wouldn't that mean all are equal and hence be the same as no PL at all...........
Carry on.......

AND then these few states left who will NOT expand Medicaid for people in desperate need of insurance. Disgusting.

We live in a rural area of North Carolina. When we first moved here they had not expanded Medicaid. At first we got an affordable health care plan that payed well with little out of pocket. THEN, we went to the facilities here and were told they will not accept this HMO Aetna plan we had because, THEY DO NOT PAY THEM, AND GIVE THEM A HARD TIME. We had to switch to BCBS which cost a a fortune even through purchased through the marketplace. My husband needed an operation, (hip). Now in rural hospitals they are going broke becuase the Medicare Advantage plans, either stall payments or do not pay them.

They ought to get this thing over with by requiring everybody pay extra 2 percent. Then it would be even. The larger sellers with the most inventory and the biggest cash reserve use the current system to get an advantage over others and this system is causing great increases in sale price of items. Just my take maybe not that bad.

No, I rarely promote anything. Remember they take a percentage on shipping and sales tax and that is how it calculated to 4.92.

If the wealthy paid their share instead of being given all the tax breaks . If the top 2% of RICH PEOPLE who have all the money, and all the tax breaks paid their share the situation would be a lot different. Who passes the tax benefits for the wealthy? Look it up.
I do NOT favor equal distribution of wealth, but I sure believe in “everyone pays their fair share” that 1 to 2% are cheating (with assistance by congress ) of several trillion dollars a year that should be in our treasury.
Think about that.

Alot of people cross in to Mexico to have dental surgery. There's a whole town in Mex near the Az border just for that. Way cheaper and just as good.

Those darned ole barbarians, over expansion and too much military spending that didn't help to defend against the barbarian invasions.

Exactly. plus a character = )

Los Algodones or "Molar City" - photos of that town are hysterical, but they have a high standard of care.

We are 20 miles from the Mexico border and found a dentist who was good. However we were fortunate to find one locally whose prices were pretty equal to those in Nogales , MX that we are now going locally. As a matter of fact my husband is getting his crown for his implant right now. All the dentists around here are around $6000 for an implant, and a good one in Mexico is about $2500. This guy in the US will match those prices. It is more convenient.

Better yet, every seller refuse to use PL. Then, not only are all equal, eBay will have to find an honest way to be profitable.
10-26-2023 01:15 PM
That will never happen as there are way to many desperate Ebay sellers out there that wont play along and Ebay knows it !!!!

@chapeau-noir
In many respects the US care system also floats (per se) helping other care systems, its ever so complex trust me. I did a ton work some years back bout' ten now for Multiple Sclerosis and got to know everything from patients to researchers, about every medical discipline from Neurology through Urologists and everything between, nurses, Pharma, Patient Associations etc all around the globe. In fact, the site I'd built was the only "indi" entity allowed to to due things like live feeds from the huge research gatherings around the globe such ECTRIMS and ACTRIMS.
For Pharma pretty much globally the FDA sets standard and yes, its expensive. For every one drug that makes it through Phase III trials and comes to market there are a dozen that fail in varied health conditions. Its all very expensive. Procedures are a whole different ball game as not only is there the actual research, testing, but also brining them into practice in the physical care environment and its WAY time consuming and WAY expensive and most definitely with capitalism in mind.
Here in the USA the advent of HMO's really changed the landscape along with of course insurance versus nationalized care systems like say in the UK. Many of those nationalized care systems I completely overwhelmed, take 8 months to see the Neurologist when needed to see a week from now. The care systems here REALLY important to have an or several informed advocates. I excel at that due to my nature basically, software engineer so "Cap'n Logic-a-go-go" and my time in politics. For whatever the reasons those two disciplines really really work well in the health system here in getting action, answers and results if I need be a persons advocate.
No, the system cannot be trusted. No, the system doesn't communicate well across disciplines. No, no no and ummm... NO in so many areas!
I guess we could say our care system is excellent *IF* someone LITERALLY runs over top of it like a well informed hawk as patient advocate. Anything other than that can have WIDELY varied results. I learned from my ex, politician and man o' man talk about the hawk, DANG! Smartest person I've ever known. Got know when be sweet, friendly, not so friendly, INFORMED, DEMANDING and then some.
Thats REALLY hard to do in America's care system as people want say, "Well if you can't trust..." BINGO! DONT! That means TRUST those WORTHY of said trust. If I am you're advocate @ Chap that means I am into the books learning everything I can about you're condition(s) and we're in the deep dive together. It's like you don't have Multiple Sclerosis or whatever the condition... WE DO and that means I'm you and you're me when it comes to the care system. Sure, mistakes be made but they are OUR mistakes not that of system whereby care is a number with more numbers associated no matter HOW GOOD/BAD Doc's and Nurses, facilities, rehabs on and on are.
Believe me it SUCKS to be in that position and no it should not be that way but it is.
10-26-2023 02:28 PM
Agree. You are your best patient advocate
