Has anybody else recieved an e-mail regarding signing a petition to congress for "Increasing the $600 threshold for sellers"? What is everyone's thoughts and did you sign it?

I haven't got anything.
I don't have a problem with the $600 limit, so I wouldn't sign it.

The new $600 changes nothing. Declaring any income has always been the law. A 1099 doesn't change a thing. I wouldn't sign it, either., because it's just a petition help enable people to tax-dodge.

No, I didn't get one.

From whom did you receive this email?
A petition to raise the threshold for the issuance of a Form 1099-K would help only those entities that actually have to issue them. Since I'm not required to issue a 1099-K to anyone, it would be of no interest or benefit for me to sign it.

From Ebay, I blocked out all the personal info in the header.

Dear Congress,
I would like to cheat the government out of more than $600.
Please raise the threshold.
Sincerely,
inhawaii

I disagree.
It would also help an online sales venue if that venue thought the threshold was discouraging people from selling on their venue.

wouldn't go any good anyway - not an Ebay mandate but a Biden rules to increase taxes
