So I thought ebay was going to charge me the 13.25% for selling a model train but they charge more than that. Are fees for model trains more?

There would be no lashing or anger if people would simply have said yes or no to 13.25% being the percentage ebay should be charging for model trains. But, of course, the tribe has nothing to do unless they can belittle the stranger from the woods.

Honestly, from the outside point of view here that I currently reside in:
You have over-reacted quite a bit to the answers you didn't like. And when answers to the original question were provided you again over-reacted to those as well.
Obviously you have an issue, and because of this issue, you are really only road-blocking yourself from help.
You need to look at your post objectively. As it presents, even with your question, its obvious to most of us, that you are seeing an issue beyond it being 13.25% Yes/No. Even the title clues that in.
You have already established that you knew it, so we know there is a different underlying problem you are having with a transaction. But when questioning (without knowing your knowledge, expertise or thought process) triggers you to react as you have been, its even more obvious to the rest of us you are having a bad day.
Perhaps some time to cool off and think about it is in order. I wasn't going to reply a 3rd time, but this thread keeps spiraling, and its obvious to me that you have something bothering you beyond those of us replying in the thread.
Just saying.

Your post is just another post to beat on me (contribution to a spiral).
Another high five from the tribe maybe?

Just sat down to read some quiet posts and kill some time. Wow! This post caught fire in a hurry!

@dhaga wrote:Baloney, your post is a classic aggressive attack. I am not asking you to tell me what is in my mind. I asked you a simple question and your evasion is telling. You accused me of not understanding something with your 'question': "How did you get by so long without understanding this". So I ask again: What do YOU think I am not understanding since you make the assumption I am not understanding something?
Nope, just simple questions, nothing more. You are the one that decided you wanted to make more out of it that was ever intended, for whatever reason you have.

@dhaga wrote:Where are you getting this "fact" as to how much they charged me from?
Why are you making this such a big deal. All any of us had to go by originally was your initial post. Your title seems to suggest you felt you were overcharged as does your first sentence "So I thought ebay was going to charge me the 13.25% for selling a model train but they charge more than that." Which is a "fact" and is why we thought you needed some help to understand the fees structure.

@albertabrightalberta wrote:Why are you so angry?
By your own admission, you "shortchanged yourself again." So you've admitted (or agreed) that you calculated something incorrectly.
And why would you come here to ask questions if you're going to lash out at those who are telling you where you erred?
I think they came here looking for a confrontation. This is so unnecessary and seems self inflicted by the OP.

Some of other sellers want a 17-page report on what happened. lol

On these boards, this is how it goes. You can ask, "Does a car have 4 wheels? Yes or no?" The usual suspects would come back with........
"What kind of car is it?"
"Who manufactured the car?"
"Is it European or American or Japanese?"
"What size are the tires?"
"Is it a sedan or 2-door?"
"What year was it built?"
"Is the steering wheel on the left or right side?"
LOOOL

So true and the usual suspects, seemingly, have convinced themselves they are 'helping' others when they are here only to fulfill themselves with adulation from the other trolls.

Oh look another one wanting to beat on me. LOL.
I really don't care what you "thought" clearly several others did not jump to conclusions and start in with the nonsense like telling me to read something.

Look like maybe you. since your post is directed and a reply to me.

Since you asked what I believe the problem might be, I believe the problem is that you either mis-read or misunderstood the information about final value fees.
And (risking another slapdown), the final value fee in that category is 13.25%.

Nice straight forward answer, much better than: "Perhaps that responder was trying to tell you that the problem lies with you, the seller, not with us, the responders, nor with eBay. "
I only asked about the 13.25%. I did not ask for where or who problems 'lay' with. The pile on was uncalled for.
