Shopping Cart

We have many items that we see are in peoples carts, we would like to know why these items are not being paid for?  Is there something keeping people from checking out? Anybody else experiencing this?

Added it and then forgot?  (I do this often when online shopping)

Added it and then changed mind and just closed browser? (I also do this often when online shopping)

Added it and continued to look in a store for other things to buy?

Basically, 'what's keeping people from checking out?' is that they haven't decided to actually buy your item.  It's not a technology issue or some bug.

Shopping Cart

Some buyers do not know about the watchlist and other lists, so they leave items in their cart while they do other things.

The fact that it is in someone's cart does not keep others from buying the item.

My wife uses the cart on ebay and amazon as a list of things she is interested in buying. Many other people do the same thing.

Sometimes one of the cart's wheels is pointed in the wrong direction, and the customer can't get to the check out lane.

Some sellers add items to both their Watch list and place them in their cart. That way they can grab the item right away if the price drops.
