The item I sold and only item I have sold required the buyer to pay for shipping, which they did. Ebay encourage me to link my Paypal & UPS with the Ebay Marketplace for fast easy shipping, and to create shipping label which I did. Now I get a bill from UPS. Trying to get resolved but each Ebay & UPS saying the problem is with the other one. So I have a outstanding bill with UPS that I shouldn't have to pay, and spent 3 days after work trying to get resolved and exhausted of being hung up on and on hold for longer than normal periods with no call backs.

Why shouldn’t you have to pay the UPS bill? The buyer paid you to ship. They didn’t pay eBay or UPS to ship the item, they paid you. So I am not understanding the problem? You received the shipping cost when the buyer paid. So you need to pay your UPS bill.

The extra charge from UPS is for what?

There is no extra charge. I believe the OP didn’t realize that the buyer paid her to ship and that she received the shipping money when the buyer paid. And now she has to pay for the UPS label.

Doesn't UPS and FedEx charges get added to the eBay invoice? (I've never used them through eBay)
Only FedEx gets added to your eBay invoice because you use ebays fedex account when you get the label through eBay.
For UPS, the seller uses their own UPS account.

It’s pretty clear, brand new seller sold their first item and doesn’t realize that the buyer paid her to ship and that she has to pay for the shipping label herself.
