Is anyone else experiencing this? In my listing I clearly state "Or Best Offer". I get a button that says "Send an Offer". I don't get an accept, decline or offer on my listings MOST of the time. Why is that? It can be annoying because when I do "Send an Offer", it locks my listing so I cannot revise it until a certain time. I have to end the listing and put it back on with any changes. Is there a better way?

Buyers have 48 hrs to respond..........are you canceling before that time period is up....... ? Don't see that locking the listing for revisions could/should cause that much of a problem?

Can be many reasons a buyer doesn't respond.....price probably the foremost....but certainly can be others.......don't have the money, don't see the offer, etc.

I find it annoying to get offers sent. As a seller I watch and save some listings with no intention whatsoever of purchasing them.

I like sending offers even though it is maybe only 10-20% of the items that are actually purchased based upon my offer. And I agree, given the small number of offers accepted I don't understand why Ebay locks up so many changes to the listing. But what really makes me happy is when I send an offer and the item sells at the listed price to another buyer.

1. Some buyers will like getting an offer and will respond in some way or not (Accept, Counter, Decline or Ignore).

2. Some buyers are annoyed with unsolicited offers and will ignore the offer as "junk mail"

3. Some offers you make go to other sellers who were doing pricing research and clicked on your item or who are watching your item to see when it sells and for how much. These sellers have no interest in purchasing your item and have their own item to sell.

I believe eBay Send an Offer goes to watchers and possibly shoppers who added your item to their shopping cart and shoppers/sellers who clicked on your item. I get seller offers for items I clicked on when doing pricing research (and never watched or added the item to my shopping cart).
