Proper Use of "New Without Tags"?

I bought an item from a manufacturer and washed it without trying it on first. Silly me, it doesn't fit. Because I don't believe I can return it now, would this be an appropriate use of the "New Without Tags" category? (For clarity's sake, other than trying it on and realizing it was too tight, I have not worn the item.)

I would just explain that it was not worn, but has been laundered so you're selling it pre-owned, in excellent condition.  I get stuff like this all the time when I do consignments - people pull tags off, or put it through the wash and then decide they don't care for it, or whatever. .

Laundering can take out sizing and the like, which is why it's important to mention.

I am thinking once washed, it is no longer New, but that is just my take on it.

If you listed explain it has been laundered, never warn etc, and I would put measurements as well as the actual tag size, just incase there was any shrinkage.

Since you washed it, I'd classify it as used. But be sure to put in the condition that it's washed and worn for less than a minute or whatever sounds nice.

It is just possible that the washing also altered the measurements.

I'd call it used, and add Lightly Used and Washed in the Description along with the actual measurements.

It's been worn.  It's been washed.  It is not new.  Gently used or looks unworn are terms I'd use.

A washed garment can not, should not, be listed as NWOT.  In my old store we could price a garment that simply lost its tags at the regular retail price.  But an item that had been returned or needed to be washed was always red tagged at least 20% off the regular retail price.
