Have sold about 20 items in the past year and would like a selling limit increase.
This is what I got.....
"Unfortunately, you're not currently eligible for a selling limit increase. You may need to build up your selling history or wait until your current monthly limit is reset before you can request another increase to your selling limits."
That's likely because buyers don't give feedback anymore unless they have something to complain about.
Can't get ahold of anybody in CS?

It has nothing to do with feedback. If you sold 20 items in a month, eBay would probably give you an increase. 20 items in a year though- you'll need to get in touch with customer service directly and ask if they will give you an increase. Go to this page- https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-limits?id=4107
At the bottom select contact us. When the chat box pops up click see more. Then scroll down again and select contact an agent.

Keep listing and selling what you can each month and they'll start increasing your limits.

A poster last month reached out to E-Bay on social media (facebook for business) and messaged them with their specifics as to why they needed/wanted more listings.
You might try that, but you need to be able to quantify the "why" if you do. They might still ask you to prove your selling plan over the next 90 days or so.
Good luck to you. Maybe sell on muliple platforms concurrently until e-Bay allows you more latitude?

You don't even have one thing listed. If you're intending to sell a big ticket item just be warned eBay is not the best venue. Inexperienced sellers are prone to scammers.

Good advice. Though in this case the OP probably did reach their limit. Looks like they sold 5 items at approx $150 value this month of August. CS might not approve them this month- but they can try again Sept 1st which gives time for this month's sales to have been delivered successfully to buyers and OP will likely get a modest increase. With regular, successful sales the system will automatically give limit increases- so if OP keeps up this pace next month, then they might not even need to contact CS.

I was able to get a selling limit raised by calling them. I've had an account 21 years and have 100% positive feedback, recently sold a moderlately high dollar amount of things and have more to sell, and didn't want to wait until the start of next month to get my limit reviewed. The guy I spoke to was helpful, asked me if I had an inventory of things ready to sell, what they were specifically and what the dollar value of those items is. When I was able to show him that I am ready to sell these items and had them in my possession he raised my limit to what it probably would have been raised in another calendar month. But I was happy to have it taken care of now, so I can list these items.
Thanks for posting the solution above.

You can't sell 20 in a month if you're a starting seller. only 5
