Selling items for friends

A friend wants me to sell a couple of items for them. How much to charge or split with them? Any help would be great. I have to do all the pictures, posts, packing and shipping.  And pay the IRS.

some advice please?

What if you pay $ 10 and they find out it sold for $ 50? No more friends.

Well, if they wanted $10 and I paid them $10 then it shouldn't be a problem.

But what do I know...I don't have any friends lol

Under the auction laws of many states, if you sell something at auction for someone else and receive any form of compensation at all, you may be required to have an auctioneer license, auction business license or both.  So if you agree to list for your friend, I would advise not listing in the auction format without checking your state's regulations first.
