I need help with the process of selling, I don’t really use eBay much but decided to sell an expensive item (jewelry) someone placed a bid but I’m checking that person has no feedback and I was wondering when the auction finishes do I ship my item right away or do I have to wait until that person payment goes through first ? Sorry for these questions but I’m really lost right now and don’t want to screw things up and send something and don’t get anything

I am still seeing it up.

I was hoping she could end it now before someone swoops in at the last minute.
At this point she could get away with no fees if ended now. Is this true?

It’s still up with no bids. Ending within 2 hours..
She needs to end it immediately but maybe she doesn’t know how to do that.
I don’t think with no bids there is any penalty for ending your own auction.

Hello I have sold here with 3 id's for over 24 years and I rarely sell anything over say $500.00 and then mostly an auction item so I can see who's bidding. Take my advise as well as others here do not sell expensive items. I can tell you a story of a guy selling a 5000.00 Gibson guitar back in the day where people can see bidders. a Woman emailed me about a expensive 350.00 R/C Car Radio I was selling to the same guy who scammed her out of a 1000.00 Plus watch...so I contacted the Gibson seller and let him know but he Overnighted the guitar ( because of buyers request & cost) to Indonesia just to have the card be stolen and he could not stop the shipment was too late when I told him about this scammer. I was contacted before I shipped so I was lucky and thanked that lady. I needed the money too at that time and was gonna send it but not (overnight)
DONT DO IT CANCEL THE SALE TAKE THE HEAT FROM EBAY OPEN ANOTHER ACOUNT OR WHATEVER CALL THE BBB IF EBAY CAUSES YOU TROUBLE ABOUT IT.

If this is the one that already has a bid, she has to be careful of what reason she uses for cancellation. Nevertheless, the fee for cancelling won't be close to the amount that will be lost if the buyer scams her out of the ring.

The seller will still be charged a penalty fee if they cancel the listing EARLY after cancelling a bid. Ironically the seller could just cancel the sale after someone were to bid again and win. Then the seller would not pay a fee. But could earn the defect.

Hmm that item (if real)
What could go wrong with such a sale???
So it is again
If you can not afforded to lose item;
and all money paid for it: do not list it on the Internets....

There is no penalty or fees if you end the auction when there is at least 24 hours before the end time. Once it is inside 24 hours there are fees.

Given your feedback history, this is not a good idea. I generally take the opposite position when it comes to selling expensive items. I sell lots of them, but I have been here since 1999 and most scammers know they are wasting their time with me. But you are an easy mark. In this case I would ask you to listen to the advice of all those telling you not to sell the ring here. If you do sell it I would suggest you send it by Express Mail.
