Selling Monster High Doll Collection no receipts? Help!

Hi folks, I sell comic books so I never click brand new. The problem I am worried about is my wife has a huge Monster High Collection she wants to sell 100 plus dolls all still in box never been opened they have been in the closet for years. I am worried if we click brand new on condition that some point ebay will ask for receipts from 10 plus years ago and when we cant show them they will ban her account and in turn ban my account all cause we have no proof that she bought them years ago. Is that really a thing cause I saw folks saying that on other forums or am I just being paranoid. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they've been in a closet for years, I wouldn't list them as new.

Lost as used/preowned and in the description mention they haven't been opened.

Have a great day.

Thanks you so much for the help. No idea why I did not think of that... I am still kinda new to selling stuff on ebay and I only know my comic niche. Wife started selling on her account and she is selling everything. Mainly stuff from around the house. Thanks again take care!

If they are new in the box and have never been opened then listing them as used doesn't make any sense and will probably devalue them.

Yeah that's what I was worried about. Just don't want to run in to any trouble with ebay. They have been on the top shelf of our walk in closet for years never been out of box they look like they just came off the shelf at the store. Also store comics in the walk in closet so the room is always dust free and spotless. Reckon going to just list as used and put in the description the details about how the boxes have never been opened. Just worried about getting hit with the receipt thing if her account gets banned I don't want my comic one getting banned as well.
