Full description showing vs Abbreviated description plus a link...

I am wanting to know if I have any control at all as to whether everything in my descriptions displays when posted, or whether part of it shows and then eBay places a link for "Full Description".

I understand that all listings accessed on a phone have the latter (a link). I just do not know if access from an iPad or laptop or desktop somehow decides which way it displays or if the seller has any say in it.

This is ebays #1 problem if you ask me.. I cant tell you how many people have bought things from me in the last couple years that have not even seen my description, get the item, and are shocked that its not what they expected, because they did not read the description, and only buying the item off the title and picture that pops up for them.. its absurd that when you go to listings that the description is not displayed.. its the 1 thing that needs to be seen, and its not.
