Bought an item , a pair of jeans described as mens but were womens. Requested a return for the obvious reason and the individual didn't accept it.
Ths is ridiculous and the fact that ebay accepts and participates in this sort of scammer behaviour is incredible. 5 years with ebay never had a complaint but it looks lie is going downhill. Sellers should do research on the product they sell and be honest. I do and I'm glad to accept returns and do returns on honest mistakes. What is wrong with this people.

You should've started a return for doesn't match description or pictures. A seller with a no returns policy can't deny a return for not as described. Because eBay's Money Back Guarantee will override a sellers no returns policy.
If you are unable to open a return because you already opened one and it was denied you can file a chargeback through the payment source used to make the purchase.

All that's wrong is that you didn't read eBay's buyer protection policy, which they call the "Money Back Guarantee":
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy/ebay-money-back-guarantee-policy...
If an item is "Not as described" (in this case, women's vs men's) then the buyer should file a claim; eBay almost always sides with the buyer, and the seller has to accept the return. If the seller wants to get the item back, then they must provide a prepaid shipping label.

There is no such thing as "No Returns" on eBay when you receive an item that's not as described. If it has been less than 30 days since you received this, you need to open an item not as described case. Go to your Purchase History, find the transaction. From the menu, select "Want To Return" . For your reason, select "Not As Described". The seller is required to send you a prepaid return label within 4 days. If that doesn't happen, return to your case on day #5, and ask eBay to step in. You will be refunded from the seller's account and told to keep the item.
After you've done that, you need to take a few minutes and read the Money Back Guarantee for buyers. eBay actually offers very good protection for buyers when/if a transaction goes wrong. ALL buyers, as well as ALL sellers need to get familiar with the MBG, preferably BEFORE beginning to buy or sell here. It offers help for buyers.
You yourself are also a seller and you don't know about the MBG? Does it make sense to you that you could buy a teapot from me, receive a box of shards and be unable to get a refund? "No returns" does not mean "No Refunds".

Please humor me and tell me what obvious reason did you choose when you filed the return. Because that matters. If it was done correctly and within 30 days of the item arriving to you, a seller cannot decline it under eBay policy regardless of what return policy they chose to have.

How long ago did this occur? I looked at that seller's listings and he has only sold one item (a bag).

What reason did you choose as the reason for the return?

As others have said, item not as described is the only "reason" which would have been auto accepted which apparently you did not select.
Based on your original post, it is also the most logical since womens jeans were erroneously "described" as mens

Pretty simple to do a Return on eBay no matter what a Seller has in the listing.
Go to your Purchase History and start a return and choose "Doesn't match description or photos" as the reason for the return. The Seller migth tell you no returns but eBay is going to give them two options. Send a return shipping label to the Buyer and get the item back before refunding or Give the Buyer a refund and you keep the item. There is no need to try and contact eBay directly if you follow the policy they have in place dealing with a Seller.

From soh.maryl posting: "No returns" does not mean "No Refunds".
I wish ebay would make this very clear under the returns policy. I think there is an assumption that no returns means all sales final, as in a B&M store. It might save some sellers a lot of heartache.

I find the lack of response from the OP to this question a bit unsettling.

The seller has a no return policy and if the OP chose didn't fit, they had the right to refuse the return.

Yes I know. Which is why I asked the same question as you did to the OP earlier. I do hope the OP comes back to clarify what they actually did.
