Sellers don't need automatic feedback to leave feedback for 50 customers in less than one minute.

I noticed that some sellers said they have to leave feedback for one customer at a time.  They said they have to spend a lot of time leaving feedback.

I don't know what kind of problem is preventing them from leaving feedback for all customers in less than a minute, but I thought I could tell how I do it and that might help someone.

You do not need to have a program that leaves feedback automatically.   Every seller is supposed to be able to leave feedback for every customer and not spend more than one minute doing it.  Of course, if there are some customers the seller does not want to give feedback, the seller can uncheck those customers and it will leave feedback only for those customers who are checked.

Go to my eBay "Selling".

Click on "Shipped and awaiting your feedback".  This is a list of customers who have not received feedback and have been notified through eBay that the item has been shipped.

Put a check mark in the box for "Actions".  That will automatically put a check mark by every customer.

It took them several minutes to keep up with which buyer had left feedback and which had not.  Then they would leave feedback one at a time.  They discovered that there was no need to be choosy about leaving feedback because the only person who read the feedback the buyer received was the buyer.

This is SO untrue! I check feedback of Sellers and Buyers. I expand it and check many pages with Boy.

Comments left for Sellers is an eye opening for Buyers. I can see If the problem is a product problem or  A seller problem. (Some people leave produt problems and NEG the Seller...Not fair. )

If a Buyer is a problem then Many times the FB they leave is revealing. Although Many times Scammers don't leave FB now.)

@Emerald On some sites I do not leave FB at All.  I try to leave FB on eBay because it is SO BUYER Excentric that I can give FB to help with both finding scammers and approving Good Honest Sellers.

Please stop doing that. I do not want sellers to mention what I bought when receiving feedback. Also if you wait for me to leave feedback you will receive none from me.

I do ALL my feedback about once a week or so - buyer and seller.  I cant then gage if hte buyer was a pill or if the item was correct and functional.  Sometimes it prompts others to leave it for me but sometimes not - doesnt matter.

Just my opinion but bulk feedback for buyers just shows how useless that feedback it.

I shop on 2 other sites (other e and rl) and they have eliminated buyer feedback.

It may be useless, but since we have it I use it just to cooperate with everyone.

If we have it, and it is considered to be a part of the experience of buying and selling on eBay, buyers might think it is strange if some seller do things differently from normal.

If we didn't have it, that would be fine.  But there is no problem with having it, and it takes almost no time for sellers to participate.

Each transaction was unique.  That is why leaving bulk feedback imo is useless.

It says nothing about the transaction, only that the seller performed a function.

When I check feedback and see the same comment over and over it tells me nothing.  So imo unless you customize it as to how it transpired for each auction, then it is useless.

Yes, I appreciate buyers who take the time to say something good about me.

About 99% of my customers never do anything except pay.  So, I do not have unique transactions except occasionally when a buyer emails me about something.  Maybe I should say in the feedback that my customer's email was easy to read and had no misspelled words.

If you mean this thread:

I read it as Buyers complaining they can't leave in bulk.

I think it should be made very easy for a buyer to leave feedback.

When a buyer clicks on "leave feedback" a short tutorial should be shown which the buyer can skip by clicking again to go where he/she can leave feedback.

The tutorial shown to every buyer just before the buyer leaves feedback should say this:

1.  The buyer should not rate the seller on how long it took the Postal Service or other delivery service to deliver the item, but should rate the seller on how long it took the seller to give the package to the delivery service.

2.  The buyer should not rate the seller lower on "item as described" just because the item is not like the buyer expected, or because it is low quality and breaks quickly.  The seller should be rated lower only if the seller fails to describe obvious DEFECTS or blemishes on the item.  If not enough information is given in the description, it is up to the buyer to ask for more information, or to just not buy from that seller.  If information about warranties is not stated in the listing, the buyer should ask if he/she wants to know.

3.  The buyer should not rate the seller lower on "shipping and handling charge"  no matter how high the "Handling" charge is as long as it was clearly stated in the listing.  Sellers are allow to include an amount for their time spent getting the item ready to ship.

4.  The buyer should not rate the seller lower on "communication" except the seller's answers  to questions the buyer asks about the item, or to other communications (or lack of) concerning the item.  The seller should not be rated lower for failure to leave feedback, even if the buyer has asked the seller to leave feedback.  Feedback is not a part of the ITEM.

Yes, many buyers and sellers don't leave feedback until the other party leaves feedback.

Because of that, buyers will get more feedback if they leave feedback for the seller first.

I wonder if it works the same way for sellers?

Yes, from what I have read on the discussion boards, almost everyone does it very similar to the way you do it.

Most people say they read some of the feedback for sellers.  Some people say they read the "feedback left"  by buyers sometimes.

Since other sellers don't read the "feedback received" by buyers, but may glance at it to see if there have been any "follow-ups by sellers,  most sellers don't waste time trying to see if a customer "deserves" feedback or not.

Auto feedback is even easier than your solution.  It take no time at all plus 50 feedback do not pile up waiting for action.  We have 7 or 8 stored comments so it rotates them.

I really do not care if a scammer type of buyer gets a glowing feedback when they did not deserve it.  You can only leave positives anyways.

Good Luck selling!

Yes, that sounds like a good idea.

I think many sellers would like to save some time.  One of the sellers told me that no one is interested, but most people I talk to say they would like to save some time.

I guess some sellers enjoy leaving one feedback at a time.  I stopped doing that when I started selling more.
