I got a message after doing a return request on an item.
"Sorry about the game. Can I give you a full refund and you keep the item and cancel the return request???"
If I'm not mistaken, as a seller, you have the option in the return request to just let me keep it and refund if that's what you want to do, I shouldn't have to cancel the request, right?

You are correct. Don't cancel the request.

Just tell them if that is what they wish to do, the full refund will automatically close the return.
oops, sorry, just as I posted I saw I clicked on the wrong post to respond to. Obviously I meant this for the OP.

I'm just trying to keep my ebay numbers up. Not trying to scam you.

Could be the 'reason' that was used if 'not as described'- that 'ding' hurts a sellers metrics..BUT; doesn't matter once it's been opened it will STILL count (cancelled or not)

Who are you?
What does your post have to do with this thread?

Are you the Op"s seller? Just opening a request dings you so it doesn't matter if the buyer cancels their request. If you are the op"s seller just refund through the case if you don't want the item back and it will close it.

Looks like the OP seller, they met here.
