Seller's Nightmare

12821 why ebay sucks for sellers.jpg

This is why I am leaving eBay. I'm sick of the nonsense. I know I'm a small seller, but IF there were any unity of small sellers who are being MIStreated like this and WE all left this platform, that would cost eBay substantial money and then maybe, just maybe, they would spend some of their profit on hiring people trained to actually address sellers' issues.

NOTE: All you pro-eBay lapdogs, please save your text. I'm done with hearing about how you "never had a problem" etc. You're full of styrofoam peanuts.

Re: Seller's Nightmare

Is there anything different between your state ID and your info on eBay? Something like a middle name/initial or a different address? eBay's not good about giving details- but the "your information does not match" message is generally because there's something different between your ID and your eBay account and they leave it to you to review the information to figure out what doesn't match.

Agree with the lousy customer service, but I guess the OP doesn't want any help with this and just came to lip-flap.  Okee-dokee.

Re: Seller's Nightmare

@gregalion   You can't even buy a Crystal ball on eBay so you can determine what it is they want!  Your point is valid, tell you what information needs more info or that the name on your Bank account, eBay account AND Driver's license have to match.  Personally I don't think Drivers license should be any part of the information we provide to eBay ...

Re: Seller's Nightmare

I had the same problem.     The ebay register and the Bank info has to match exactly.     I used my middle initial on my bank account and had left the MI off my ebay register.

They kicked it back.    No match.    I added the MI and BOOM it was fixed in like 2 seconds.

You can't be MISS Annie Oakley on ebay and MRS Annie Oakley on your bank account.

You can't be Alfred Neuman on ebay and Alfred E. Neuman with the bank

I refuse to accept sub-standard communication from a corporation that is handling my money.  No lip flapping was done here, just tip-tapping on my keyboard.

Re: Seller's Nightmare

Is that what you see?

Because what I see and feel is that 10 days ago, the problem was not resolved and 10 days later it still  has not.  I looked at  your NON items so you have no stake in the game. Just an armchair forum responder with way too much free time OBVIOUSLY.

It's a posting ID.

Yes, eBay is notoriously unhelpful with this stuff and the CS is substandard - that's why we try to help people here - pre-emptive snark and calling us lapdogs isn't going to help you - we're all fighting the same battle.  As said above - information must exactly match - this is everything.  I had to remove my middle initial to get my info to go through. Also apparently uploading pdf files is a problem - one individual struggling to get signed up had to upload jpegs.  It's not a great system.

Re: Seller's Nightmare

Sounds to me like the OP just ordered a WAH burger and French Cries. Someone call the WAHmbulance!

Because whining and crying is a better option then getting the issue fixed.....

Re: Seller's Nightmare

So you only want people who agree with you to respond?

Why are you mad at the rest of us who have  had no trouble signing up and who have had no trouble using managed payments?   You're mad at a group of people who have had no problems?  That's very odd.
