Re: Seller analytics

just a heads up........take a look at your pictures on the chef's aprons/jackets........whatever they are..I can't tell.

too late for me to tackle your question, tho just a glance.........you've got some heavy items with high shipping that eats into the item price $$......because of the fvf on shipping.....  You've got one item for $150 price with $100 shipping........take pencil in hand and figure out what you will come out with after shipping from Fla to Cal.

Re: Seller analytics

You have items where the shipping is 25-50% of the cost of the item.

You are using the wrong numbers.  You need to analyze your results without using the customer shipping payments or the cost of the labels, and decide if it is worth selling your items.

The higher percentage of the sales price associated with the cost of shipping, the lower the margin and the higher your costs of bad sales are going to be.

90+ % of what I sell goes ground advantage for under 8 oz. It has taken me years to figure out that it is highly profitable and less work.

@4nat1

Have you ever visited the Seller Hub.  There is a ton of information there as well as reports.  Now when you first go and look at it, it can be a bit overwhelming as it offers so much information in different ways.  Take your time with it.  Maybe just a few things at a time.

There are Tiles with specific info on Listings, Orders and much more.  There there are tabs across the top with even more information and drop down menus.

Then in the left rail there are other options as you move through what it has to offer.  Take your time, don't overdo it so you get frustrated.  It is a fantastic tool for sellers.  If you plan on being a regular seller, it is important to learn the seller hub.

You need to understand the fee structure too.  Ebay does not charge you 35-41% fees.  Ebay charges their FVF [final value fees] on the total the buyer pays, period.  Plus a 30-40 cent per transaction fee.  Those are the only fees Ebay charges you unless you have done some listing upgrades or are using some form of Promoted listings.

Remember the buyer is paying YOU $$ to ship the item, so your shipping costs are covered by the buyer.  You appear to be counting the cost of the shipping in that 35-41% without considering the amount the buyer paid you to ship.

Re: Seller analytics

There is no item listed on eBay where the final value fee would be 35-41%.

The FVF is calculated on the total amount paid by the buyer to the seller which ordinarily includes the item price, the shipping and the sales tax, if any.

Re: Seller analytics

If you have your shipping set up correctly it should come close to being just a pass through but you will be paying fees on the shipping cost.
