It's hard to believe ebay has the legal right to steal money from my paypal account to refund a scammer who blatantly lied and is an obvious thief. I upheld my end of the sale by selling exactly what was descibed and shown in my listing. Ebay - you should be ashamed of yourself for allowing such an obvious abuse of the returns option.

In my opinion under the present rules & policies in place selling is a gamble, hopefully good transactions far outnumber the bad

Here's the deal. Yes, theft and scamming HAPPENS. It's a smaller percentage of sales, not half the sales or most of the sales. The good buyers, FAR outweigh the bad ones.
Yes, eBay is BUYER centered. The buyer is going to win the case 99% of the time.
Sellers MUST use the block buyer option when you come across someone stealing from you. Sellers MUST report bad buyers. Sellers should NEVER sell something they can't afford to lose 100%. And most importantly, sellers MUST come to the reality of ALL of these things and accept it. The user agreement makes it clear, that eBay and the buyer, hold all the power here. Other platforms have the same agreement. If you can't accept that, then you should just stop selling. Have garage sales or open your own brick and mortar store and set your OWN terms. This is NOT our sandbox. What seems fair and right to each of us, doesn't matter. Not our own sandbox. You are a guest here, and certainly are NOT the guest of honor (more like the wait staff).
I understand how upsetting it is to be taken advantage of. Everyone needs to learn to move past it. This is a business, not a friendship. If your business has been taken advantage of too much, causing losses, then maybe it's time to close shop. If it's still profitable, then maybe you need to learn to NOT let the ONE sale eat you up. Work within the system and learn to be profitable. Know the rules, and know your limits.

I did not advise sellers to stop using the site.
I advised sellers who do encounter issues to recognize and evaluate the risks of selling on this site.
I have had zero INRs, zero SNADs, and zero returns in the past two years. I have ervaluated the risks of the site, and found them to be inconsequential for me.
But I would never issue a blanket statement saying that everyone should stay here, or that everyone should leave. That sort of simplistic thinking is foolish.
And while it is clear that some sellers are struggling with those risks, I suspect that a large majority of eBay sellers are not.

The buyer keeping the item after getting a refund is OK with eBay also.
If you don't accept a return you are telling ebay you don't want the item back.

Then why on earth are you selling here?
