I posted back in May how sales had dropped and had several posted under that conversation but nothing to suggest an issue or a fix. I dropped back in today and found another conversation from May that suggested the update could have caused the sales drop for certain categories. I posted there asking about the issue but thought I would also post/ask again since sales have gotten worse. I even raised the ad rate and sold 3 items last month but nothing since. I am here seeing if someone from the team could offer suggestions or have answers to sales being down and if it could still be from the update for my items.

What do your views and watchers show on your items?
That tells you if your item is being seen.
Buyers cant find your items is what is going on: this seems to be a problem with eBay itself and not your listings.
But folks will say its the economy and other stuff:
Yet some buyers I know just plain don't even bother with eBay because what the search for item it does not show: (they can not find what they what on eBay):
they have moved to other locations to purchase from: use eBay as LAST resort these days.

For the main selling item per eBay I had 248 views in the last 30 days with 784 watchers (that is approximately what it has been for years, the watchers). So people are finding it per eBay. Based on what others have written I just don't know what to believe anymore from eBay
On a side note what I just saw on my listing completely shocked me. The suggested Promoted ad rate. When I first started the Promoted ads a few years ago suggestion from eBay was 2.9% and I used 4.6% (may not be exact but you get the idea). I then see a few months ago that eBay suggested 7.9%. Around 2 months ago I raised it to 5.6% thinking it would help and I sold 3. Today eBay suggests I raise it to 10.1%. So my sales are down and they want me to give them more money thinking that will help my sales? Raise the ad rate means raising the price to cover the ad rate.

Pay to play game:
So if it is not making enough to use (cutting into profits to much) do not use it.

Yes it's something ebay manipulated. I have had to search for several items on this site, by using a google image search because they don't come up in a direct search with the same exact key words. Yet when I went to look to see my stuff through a friends account to make sure it was coming up in results it showed on ebay's search but not on googles. So yeah if you can't find things on ebay using their search and you can't find things on google using their search, then sales are going to be down. They have effectively at minimum halfed your chance of even having your item be visible to a potential buyer.
I only have been lucky selling lately, though sales seem down , because I have a very dedicated set of customers that actively search my items daily. Being it's all auction and no reserve with cheap opening bids, I keep them hooked and always have fresh offerings.

I only see 7 items listed..............I would list more items rather than try to play the PL game...........

I completely agree , my sales have went from $150-$400 a day to $22 every few days a... I am so tried of this frustrating platform and its representatives ( CEO included ) . I purchase and selll , on ythe purchase side i go elsewhere as Ebays search engine is the most frustrating piece of CR*P i have ever used , 80% of my searches are this way and i go elsewhere ............... this is ridiculous , nowhere else is it this frustrating. of a circus to buy or sell ..... good luck with your vault and thanks ebay for making buying and selling on a platform the worst experience that i have ever seen on a platform .... NOT THAT YOU CARE

oh and watch out when your paying to play as ebays suggested ad rate is a total scam and fraudulent ...... they use the word suggested so they can scam there sellers , but what do you expect from a desperate company . ebay suggests twice the rate that i am paying for ads and yet i am the second or 1 st to be seen ... LIARS AND SCAMMERS that is what ebay has become ... trust is on the bottom of your sure with this company good job CEO on making ebay even woprse than ebays 1.2 star rating on trust pilot

I tried raising the PL another percent and eBay recommendation went from over 7% to over 10%. Gave a lot of thought from the comments and yesterday I took the PL off the items. Figured if sales has dropped so bad from PL then taking the PL off can't hurt my sales anymore.
