I have been selling on eBay for 13 Years. This is the worst drop in sales I have ever seen. I'm down 44% in the last month. I have a Store. I promote items. I offer quantity discounts. Good Pictures & Descriptions. Top Rated plus Rating. I send coupons. Quick & safe shipping. So I call eBay and get the run around. He tries to give me pointers on how to sell. WTH? It HAS to be their issue, not mine. Anyone else having this problem? Thanks!!

If I had the sales that you have had in this month I would be grateful and happy, have zero sales for three weeks, cheers!

The economy is in the toilet. People are worried. Having to juggle between putting gas in their cars and food on the table for their families. Or hanging on to every last dime because their 401k lost 30% so far this year. It's a tough time. Hopefully it will turn around. Hang in there.

IT IS this ROTTEN economy. I share your same fate, we are down at 40 percent from last year approx.

It IS eBay. It is NOT the economy. People who were struggling with lower income were already a very small % of the buyers on eBay. Money is still flowing. Until this week, sales were fairly steady for me in Oct. I posted several new listings & it allowed for more eyeballs. It is no different than the flea market. I can see a friend sell $400 while I only get $65 on any given Sunday. People still have money to spend. It all depends on whether they look at your stuff & make the right decision. 🙂 lol

You are right. Money is flowing at a greater rate than ever. That is why inflation has yet to be tamed. This is a worldwide situation, and the US is far better off than most countries.

This has been going on since the middle of May and eBay has done NOTHING to remedy the problems. Moderators don't even respond anymore. Check out this 50 page thread. Lots of long term experienced sellers "coincidentally" experiencing the same problems.
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Selling/Sudden-drop-in-sales-May-2022/m-p/33295956#M2097604
The problems began with the changes eBay made in mid-May in regards to the way views were calculated... no more robots. Then there was the change to the PL percentage taking the minimum up to 2%. Don't forget about the continuing category and item specifics changes... all of this happened it the same time frame.
It's truly amazing how many of eBay's brilliant ideas are non-functional, working at half of what they were intended to do or just not working at all. Why aren't we seeing any fixes or improvements?
The search engine algorithms are a disaster. If people can't find it they won't buy it.
Now, on each and every one of your listing pages, your actual listing is compromised. The description section is surrounded with 10 to 15 lines of "similar sponsored items" - "related sponsored items" - "more sponsored options" - " People who viewed this item also viewed..." and to top it all off a promo and link to a competitors listings right below your description. SERIOUSLY eBay?
eBay is currently broken..... Please FIX the PROBLEM!!!!

At a loss here as to what to do... I've tried everything.... percentage off sales, listing new items every day, doing PL across the board... busting my butt to make some sales but still having a hard time paying the bills, including my eBay store fees. How can this possibly be a good scenario for eBay?

Can they find it on here? I have some of the lowest prices on the internet on what we sell and I have been lowering prices anticipating better volume at Christmas. But we are still seeing very steep drop off from last year. I thought it might pick up this month but it really has not to the extent it did last year. It is I think the category we sell in. Luxury item.

Not everyone.
I'm on disability and a couple years ago, I would have a couple hundred left after all the bill were paid.
This month, same bills and I had a whole $13 left.
Am I going to spend that $13 on Ebay buying stuff I don't need or gas and food?
People on a fixed income don't have the extra money to spend on stuff they don't need.

Very selective in what you respond to... and how do you know that the robots are still there? Because eBay assured you of this? How exactly are they counting visits now?
