Anyone else have a huge drop in sales? Trying to list a bunch and relist some to get back up but it's kinda scary how slow my store is right now!

What are you selling if you don't mind me asking?

My sales have been dropping since March 2020, when a major theme park closed due to the pandemic, as that is where I source my inventory.
For December I had 5 sales, and so far in January, I have had 6 sales.

If you're able to sell "pre-owned" shoes alone you're doing okay. If you're noticing an actual decline check your listings and see where they are at on the calendar. There is an ebb and flow in search standing. List regularly and edit often to freshen up your listings. It's a month after Xmas, traditionally speaking that is a slow time and perhaps one coinciding with CC bills coming in.

Not me.

I've had absolutely no traffic for my items listed for this last 7 days. I try to be very fair in my starting prices for the particular item. I'm hardly getting any views at all. Earlier in the month I refunded a buyer some shipping as it was just under $2.00 over. I try to be extremely fair. I have over 1500 100% feedback. I've been on here for years. I've never seen it like this. I don't really know what to think?

You can click on the User Id of any member here to see the information you seek. Click on the user name and you will be shown a box that includes "listings", click that on and you can see what that person is selling.
Keep in mind some folks on here have created what is known as a "posting" ID. It will show as 0 listings. Not that they don't have anything listed just that they prefer to keep their selling account separate from the comments they post on the discussion boards.

It's the man behind the curtain ( aka Mr. Casini) Dorothy. Don't let Toto get hurt.
If your new let me explain..... eBay has this "mysterious" search engine known as cassini. Cassini is like area 54...everybody knows its there but know one knows any details.
Cassini moves traffic around eBay according to how eBay wants sales distributed. You can easily go from many sales and then without any rhyme or reason to almost nothing. That's just how it works here.
Like it or not it's how the game works here.
Trust me....your not doing anything wrong.
Good Luck

I second what you said. I though am getting tired of the game. With this system, there is no way to make any reliable amount of income. You can sell $700 one week, and then $200 the next. There are better ways to generate dollars.

That unfortunately is the nature of retail. Even established B&Ms have a tough time figuring out foot traffic, and it can vary depending on what you sell. When I was selling full time I had big swings and had an established clientele. This happens on the several websites where I sell, which is a mix of specialist, general (eBay) and social media.
I think it's worse right now with everything happening and disposable income rising and falling for a significant number of people.
Since I used to live on my earnings selling, I absolutely had to take the long view or I'd go nuts. It did even out.

Chapeau-Noir - Sorry, don't buy it. I don't think that fully explains the great fluctuations in sales on this site. I am not arguing with you, and you are entitled to your opinion. Just the great swings and abrupt nature of sales volume speaks otherwise.

Join the club. Ebay has gone downhill years ago. Heck if i make 3 sales a month lately i am lucky.
No buyers just lookers.

That's how retail works. I work B&M retail and our daily sales can be over $10,000 one day and barely $3,000 the next. It all depends on the customers you get and what they decide to buy. One customer buying several pieces of furniture can push our sales for that day through the roof.
