As in 1 1/2 days now e bay is forcing me into managed payments. I sell wood and pecans mostly. So to keep my ratings. I mail 1 day handling. I want the little discount. Most will now be ate or burned my product up before I will be paid for it. I think that is not right. The site is much slower now than ever. It is just getting not worth it. As postage going up 2 times this year. E bay now will be feeing it twice. Feeing my sales also. In total with all fees and postage cost. On my free mailing I offer I am now profiting about %23 on my price on most all items. I am just feeding the greedy postal service and e bay. Stores for working materials packing, gas, internet , etc. I am thinking seriously in a few days just to hang it up. As my views are lower than ever now. No bids on items I am try to just make very little on after all is said and done. It is just heart breaking how the systems greed is just about t make me quit. I do thank all for reading my post. Wish all yawl the very best. So glad I am not trying to start from scratch on her I would not do it. When e bay asked me now in their survey. How likely are you to recommend e bay. It is a 0. Just my vent. I think it is soon to be yawl will not see anymore post from me. Because I am going to off e bay soon I am sure.

I would never second guess anyone's decisions to change course, but please just step away and see how things change after the first of the year. I believe that there may be some big changes. I say this because I am hopeful and don't want you to lose all of your positive feedback and history here. That is from experience. I did that.

People like you that are honorable, kind and just plain nice are an asset to whatever platform you choose to utilize. I am grateful to have had you cross my path.

It will not matter how my listings look after 12:00 A.M Saturday morning. As main reason e bay put me into managed payments. I have sold 10 + items in 3 days. My account is - 20 + dollars with all my money pending. They say my next pay out is 11/9/2020. then it will be another 3 to 4 days before I am paid. I just am not putting up with this past 11/7/2020. As then my moneys pending if all goes well I will get on 11/13/2020. I sold most on 11/4/2020. I am not going to put up any longer. With e bay jacking around my money for 9 days or more before I get paid. I mail out same day or next day always. Your suggestions my be helpful if I were going to stay. It cost me in fees and price of postage on one pound as much as $6.95 +. Not counting the another 1.05+ 30 cent on the final value fee. Around $ 8.50 + on a 10.99 priced item. A profit of around $ 2.50. I have another .85 approx. in other cost. Gas to go mail packing ink internet etc. So after all is said and done I clear a little over a buck. Have to wait for 9 + days before I am paid for it. If I up my prices then sales would even drop further. So it is just to big of a hassle to continue. I have never had no real problems in the way my item is describe or the context of my listings. if you look to my feedback last month sales. You ill see who is the top dog in sales on fatwood. The pecans moving slow this year. I can go to flea market and sell them for $ 3.50 to $ 4.00 a pound. The stores here are asking $ 5 + taxes. If I was up north it would be $ 10 + taxes. I have so much other stuff it is un real tools glass and you most likely could not name a item I do not have. Just not worth listing to have my cash held up for long periods. Thank you for your advice as it might be helpful if I were going to stay but am not. I do hope you have good luck. Take your advice list for yourself. And let e bay jack you around. I am not taking it past 11/7/2020 midnight P.S.T. When my funds from what sales I make are available for pay out. I will then place on vacation setting. Preparing to stop selling on here.

It is not the managed payments on the slow sales. It is the managed payments the reason I am not going to sell on here no more. As e bays managed payments is jacking my money around. I have never in 7 years of selling been a minus 20 + dollars before. You are right on the reason of slow sales I think. I do wish you the very best with kindness of thoughts to you.

I'm sorry that things are like this for you. I think that things are going to pick up at least I do hope so. I feel like you do but I think that if I hang in there things will change soon. If not then I will be gone also. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed and hope for Holiday sales to carry me through. This is still new to me as I am fairly new to eBay but I'm gonna stick it out a little longer and if things don't pick up I will move to another platform and try again. Hope that things work out for you in the future and Keep your head up. xoxo

I have read this entire thread. I agree that expenses are going up all around, though I'm not convinced that a small increase in your pricing to compensate for that is necessarily going to kill off your sales. Mainly, though, I'm wondering why you appear to have selected weekly payouts for your funds received, when daily payouts would be much better for your situation?

At my local market they are $ 5 per Lb.

You are looking at local prices. You are selling in an international market.

If you are only looking at selling locally that's fine, but you could raise your prices and still be below the price in Idaho or New York and certainly here in Canada.

I am not on here all for the cash like most all.

Then why are you complaining?

greedy postal system that the tax payer bails out every year with paying taxes to them.

USPS is self sufficient and does not get any subsidy from the taxpayer.

They got 2 billon dollars from tax payers to send in mail in votes etc.

They were paid to deliver the mail, in this case by government agencies.

That's their job.

They are also paid by government agencies to deliver old age pension cheques.

That's their job.

Sellers could lower prices attract more buyer.

Lower prices do not attract buyers, they just reduce the income of the sellers.

My sales terrible as well, but things could be worse. Like today for example... I got hit with 2 returns and a surprise package that was return to sender that I had to refund.

I have more than one store and my problem is getting paid for items. I've had to chase more buyers for unpaid items in the last 6 weeks than I've probably had to for the last year.
