You may not be aware but you can revise your Ebay listings by your own SKU, no need to track Ebay Item Number to do that.
If you create new listings with Seller Hub Reports, there is a way that you could specify that you want to manage the new listings by SKU (Custom label) rather than by item number. If you want to do that, you would enter AddFixedPriceItem as the Action (rather than just Add) and you would include a column with the header InventoryTrackingMethod. In that column, enter "SKU" (without quotation marks). Your file would also need Custom label (SKU), of course. This would only work for new listings you create with Seller Hub Reports. You can't change the InventoryTrackingMethod on already existing listings.
If you do what I described on new listings, then when you want to revise them, you would enter ReviseFixedPriceItem as the Action and specify the SKU in the Custom label (SKU) column. You would not need to include item number in that case.
This saves time, as there is no need to populate your database with ebay Item Number before you can update listings in bulk.
