Hello,
I recently completed my first sale of a LEGO set for ~290 in mid May and was delivered May 27th. I thought everything went well, the buyer had feedback score of over 9500 so I felt secured. Today being 3 weeks after delivery he sent a return request for damaged item, saying it was damaged during shipping. The part that feels fishy to me is that this person never responded to any order updates I gave (how I packaged it, when it would go out) and I wanted to see pictures of the damaged area to see what I could do but he is not sending any. Included is pictures of I packaged and shipped the item if anybody can tell me where I went wrong. Any suggestions about what to do and how to navigate this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. What the final package looked like
Fitted into a box with packing peanuts on side and bubble wrap on front, back and top
Wrapped in a plastic bag
Package wrapped in 2 layers of bubble wrap

Hi - Though you were unkind to me, I had no right to be snappy at you. Your post/solution is excellent. Please forgive my unkindness. L

Videos are not easily tampered-with and are accepted as evidence in criminal and civil trials under most circumstances. They also discourage would-be criminals from feigning losses.

Lest I be accused of jumping in or creating drama, let me quickly add that I am answering a statement made. Actually, I like the ebay, I just don't like a lot of it's rules, etc.

That brings back painful memories. 😬

I have seen many collectors get upset about the box they came in. So if the outer box was smashed, then it would damage the inner original lego box. Many collectors want unopened boxes so the legos themselves aren't as important.
