Return Problem

I have a customer wanted to return an item. It was missing a few things, my fault.  It was such a low cost item ( under $2.00 that I told them to keep the product and I would just refund. He started the process with eBay return. So I got to refund his cost but not his shipping. How do I get back and refund shipping?

Re: Return Problem

Did he agree to pay for the shipping ?

Technically you are on the hook for all costs, and if you want it back the cost for that too.

For me I'd just give them a full refund and apologize since you admit you are at fault.

Edit, tired and read it wrong. You should have been able to do a full refund when you processed it. Is the return closed after you partially refunded ? Can you go to order details if it is drop down "Refund", and send the difference?

But also it depends on what the return reason he submitted. If it's not as described or missing pieces you owe full refund.

Re: Return Problem

Are you saying you will not refund his shipping ? That is not how it works. You need to refund him the full amount.

Re: Return Problem

When you refunded, it should have gave them a full refund if the filed an INAD.

When they filed for the return, what reason did they select as the reason for the return?

Have a great day.

Re: Return Problem

I think the OP is saying he refunded the buyer less shipping, now he wants to refund the shipping too.

Cant you go back in and do another refund?
