This is the explanation that I received from eBay after my listing was removed.
Hello ottomannumis,
We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Replica coins and currency policy. Replica currency that follows our rules can be listed on eBay, but replica coins and counterfeit currency are not allowed. When I called eBay, I asked for a supervisor. He told me that my listing was removed because their expert team decided that my note was a replica. Then he suggested that I should not relist on eBay, but I can list on some other website ?! This is crazy!!!
Not sure about eBay's "expert team's" assessment of your item. But if they tell you not to relist on eBay, don't try to relist it. Even if you have the item authenticated and try to list it again, you risk possible suspension.

Authentication its not required by eBay when you list a Banknote.
I just did end my other listing, but why should I pay $45+insurance+shipping fee to get authenticated???
Okay, let's turn that around: why should I, as a buyer, purchase something that has not been authenticated?

@ottomannumis I think what they are looking for is something like this listing for a 1K US bank note ... 153437023124 ... authenticated by PMG apparently and not taken down.

So you can sell it on EBay
"Not just getting hurt financially by eBay, don't you think eBay needs to hire real "experts" so we don't get accused been scammers !!"
If they did that, Ebay would have to increase the fees to a point where it no longer be worthwhile to sell anything on here. Anyone what to pay say 30% commission?

Hi again. The problem with having an ungraded collectible banknote is that eBay will not allow anything valued over $1000 to be listed if it is not graded. The policy can be found here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/prohibited-restricted-items/stamps-currency-coins-policy?id=4337
"Listings for current, exchangeable, ungraded currency from any country worldwide cannot exceed $1,000 in value, whether in a single listing or in a combination of multiple listings."
Like others have said, it is best not to risk putting back up an item that was previously removed, even with permission. I have seen sellers get suspended doing just that, even when they were advised it was ok to relist.

And again.
Certification/authentication is not grading.
Grading is about centering, creases and stains, freshness of colour, crispness of paper, thins, hinge remnants, original or added gum (well, I am a stamp guy), pencil or pen marks, etc.
Certification is the written opinion of experts on the authenticity of an item, usually along with grading and usually with catalogue information to help the purchaser compare his example with others.
It is also used when items are stolen since certificates normally include a photograph of the item which was certified and are numbered so the certifying organization can produce another copy of the certificate if necessary for further authentication.

Found a certificate that would load.

Thanks, but I rather take that risk instant of getting insulted by eBay.
Really??? You'd rather be scammed out of a thousand bucks than be "insulted" by bots?
I don't have a thousand bucks to casually lose, but if it were me, I'd take that "insult" and donate the cash to people that are cold and hungry this winter.
And my pride wouldn't even take the slightest hit.

authenticated items are a ruse used by ebay.many of the authenticators have been banned or listed in a group as not to be trusted.I think its for base ball cards and sports stuff.
not sure who is taking these items down, what group is saying its no good
I can offer my own cerificates on vintae vxn items since I am one of the leaders in that category
ebay offers its own authenticate program but its hard to get real advice about it since the rules are all changed on the fly to accomodate certain sellers
ebay authenticate will still not answer my questions about gray market rolex for the 2019 Christmas season, lots of people will be angry when they pay twice the retail rate for a Rolex with no warranty by Rolex
these are brand new watches, not available to the average consumer in a Rolex store due to the fact that there is a man made shortage or holdback on them for the best models

There are hundreds of listings for $2 bills on ebay without any authentication. Why is this any different?
Unfortunately other than legal action, i don't think there's a whole lot you can do.
Ebay is the judge, jury and executioner. What they say goes.
Kinda like when i get suspended from these boards what seems like every month.
