Removable Neg?

I got a neg today (claims it was delivered to the wrong address, it was an ESE, it showed delivered, buyer never contacted me, assumed it went to the wrong place and left a neg). There was a buyer last Saturday who had the same situation (showed delivery but no letter), and it got delivered Wednesday. It's happened often the delivery happens a few days after the delivery scan.

But the buyer never contacted me for a refund or to ask me to track the package (he says you can't track it, but it shows delivered when I tracked it on Parcel App).

He's claiming it's not my fault the mail carrier brought it to the wrong place (if that actually had happened), so why the neg? Why blame the seller for something that's not within their control.

The neg isn't hurting me any at all, but it annoys me to have an undeserved neg. (If it was deserved I'd try to sort things out with the customer and not complain about the neg). I did reach out to the customer to try and help him sort out what happened to his letter. He's a low FB member which tells me he's not really familiar with things like ESE and how that all works.

Input would be welcome.

Thanks, C.

Feedback is a review of the transaction, not a critique of the seller. IMHO not getting your package is a reason to have a negative experience.

Re: Removable Neg?

All you can do at this moment is follow up, wait, and see if it eventually finds it's way to the buyer. If it does, request that they update their feedback.

Re: Removable Neg?

Ask the buyer to please revise the negative because it could impact your future sales and you will have trouble feeding the X (the children, the dogs, the cats, etc.)   Then send the feedback revision form.

It's unbelievable that a buyer would do that for a 1.99 item.

Have you tried this link ? Explain situation give tracking and state it's been delivered. Could be gone in a few minutes.

Re: Removable Neg?

Some buyers just don't get it.

Stating "not seller's fault", but at the same time........... negging "the seller's account".

Even worse than the numpties that leave a "neutral" because they haven't used the item yet.

Hopefully this will straighten out for you.

Re: Removable Neg?

I think it's removable.

If not by the buyer, then by ebay.

I have faith you'll get it removed.

Good luck!

The package was only shipped FOUR DAYS ago... and due to ESE scanning delivery on a different day than delivery happens, you cannot say he will never receive it. He will probably get it tomorrow or Monday! But he left me negative feedback today without contacting me to get my assistance. I would have asked him to wait a few days... I did that the last time this happened, and the item showed up a few days later.

Re: Removable Neg?

Give the buyer back his $2 then go to revision request and you can ask the buyer to change it. They probably will.

Re: Removable Neg?

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is an ESE?

I think you should be able to have Ebay remove the feedback?

Re: Removable Neg?

I doubt they'll remove that one, as I agree with @luckythewinner  that they had a negative experience & they're allowed to say so.   There's nothing against the rules in there.   You could try here:

https://www.ebay.com/sellerhelp

you'll know within an hour or so usually.  I would be more inclined to give it a few more days, see if it was deliverd & then send a Revision Request if it has been.

Re: Removable Neg?

ESE eBay standard envelope.

Gets a # that is "metered mail" and is scanned at processing facilities along the way.  "deliver" is shown when it is process at the facility nearest the buyer. There can be a delay in the actual delivery.

It does not scan at acceptance, or delivery like "tracked" packages.
