It's currently 1/22 here and regional boxes are still available. Perhaps they are just going to leave it on the site for people until they run out of their stockpile. Their site has a scheduled update on 1/21 11pm I'm assuming to remove the regional services. Wasn't sure if they were going to remove the boxes too. Boxes still available for now fyi.

Since you can still use the boxes for weight and distance based pricing, not flat rate, they will continue to be available to order until the current stock is gone. Order quickly while you can, I stocked up just after the announcement they were going got be discontinued.

I wonder how much of a stockpile do they have. Are people ordering them like gangbusters? I think I ordered enough for the next year lol.

I ordered 50 when I first heard that R-A was going away, another 50 a few weeks later at end of Dec. and another 100 about a week ago which haven't arrived yet. That should set me up great without taking up too much room. LOL, in retrospect, probably overkill since I've been using Parcel Select more and more these days. We'll see.

That's how they handled their stock of the Regional C boxes after that rate was discontinued. In fact, for a short while after they stopped offering the Regional C boxes, there was a generic Priority box of the very same dimensions, which might have been the leftover stock that hadn't been printed yet.

I still have a bundle of those C boxes in my basement, use maybe 1 or 2 per year.

I apologize to everyone. I normally ship few 12 pound 'A' boxes a week and they caught up with me. I knew it was too good to be true.

Have not done any myself, so not up on the particulars, but he "cubic rate" may be competitive. Cutting the box down a bit may be even more competitive.
