Refunds

Do you think it's fair that I as a seller have to give a refund because a buyer lied and said an item I listed didn't match description or photo?? Ebay did not even give me a chance to dispute the claim. I DID NOT list it wrong and the photo matched description. I am so mad right now because it is not fair!! I sent a message telling Ebay the buyer was lying, all they had to do was look at my listing but apparently sellers don't matter any longer! This will be my last words on ebay, I will not sell or buy another thing from heartless millionaires that don't care about their sellers!! I am just sick to my stomach about this mess!!!!

It may not be fair, but Ebay has no clue as to if the buyer is lying. Actually no one really knows even if you are lying. Since no one can positively know the truth Ebay sides with the buyer. It is that way with almost every retail site in the world.

EBay has publicly stated that in a he said /she said situation they will always go with the buyer. Not fair, but their site/their rules.

This is about the $9.99 food processor part that you received a neg for?  Pick your battles.

What would a picture of your listing have to do with what the buyer has in their hand?

There is no proof of what you sent.

YOU know what you sent but sadly, as stated- it's a 'he said she said' and the buyer will ALWAYS win that battle. That occurs at every selling venue unless you do cash in hand locally.

Imo that proves even more that shes not lying. I know the feeling OP but claim it on your taxes and just let it go. May those that steal like that incur Karma.

Someone can buy a food processor from you ... receive it ... then file a not as described case and say ... "I thought I was getting a pony" ... and they would win.

Sorry, that's just how ebay works.  Fortunately it doesn't happen that often.

True.   I feel for OP b/c you are absolutely right & that really sucks.  Both things can be true.

There is no such thing anymore as disputing the claim.  The only thing that matters is that the buyer chose one of the "not as described" reason from the drop down menu.  At that point, as far as ebay is concerned, what the buyer chose becomes FACT, even if it is a lie.   The buyer could claim "doesn't match the description" and put in the comments...I really need the money to buy crack... and you, the seller, are still going to lose.

So your listing states you bought the ninja parts from someone and they did not fit your Ninja.....so when your Buyer tells you they do not fit theirs and they are mis-identified.......

Why did you not return them to the Seller you bought from?  Perhaps these were never what you thought and trying to sell them just compounded the issue?

Honestly, for $9.99 and shipping and I would have refunded the Buyer and moved on.  These ninja parts are cursed, evidently.

When one sells on Ebay fairness is neither a factor nor a consideration.  What is required for selling on Ebay is being smart and disputing a $9.99 return is not a  smart move.  The smart move is to simply refund without requiring a return and then forgetting about it and moving on.  This mess is of your own making.
