I feel like my account finally being tested for a behavior pattern on what would I do if I don`t have sales for a curtain number of days. I am reading that same thing happened to others, but I never experienced no sales at all for such a long period, so my theory is just that.
So, what is the number of days with $0 sales for you lately? I had a gap of 9 days with $0 in the end of July, in August, it is 7 days so far with $0.
What would you do if you don`t have a single sale in consecutive 10-14 days?
1. List more
2. Go to another platform
3. Leave eBay
4. Pay extra for Promoted listings

I'm currently at 8, worst stretch in over a year. I've finally have a new game-plan, though I don't know if it will work. I created another account to separate my electronics & misc. items from my music items, and I'm going to start listing more, mostly music. I have an endless supply of music items but wanted to move the limited supply of electronics first. The electronics was easy money, low effort, where the music is easy money, high effort. No promoted listings, they're a scam and my unique music collection won't need them.

I feel badly for you and all sellers who's sales have declined.
If eBay can just go back in time (at least to sometime last year), things would be better.

The economy for one. Last summer our economy was in much better shape than it is right now. And that is only going to get worse before it gets better.
What makes last summer better than this summer to you?

Consumer spending is still strong this year vs. last year and job growth continues to be constant. I do think that there may be a downturn later this year, but I don't think this has been a factor so far, or the problem here at eBay.
Actually this summer is better for me, as I'm packing up everything to move to Hawaii.

I went about a week or so with nothing before my last sale yesterday . I won't spend another dime on promotions because they no longer work. I expect it's because everyone is promoting and so were all back on a level playing field again,, except that now sellers are paying for it . I've moved on to other selling sites but I haven't left e bay yet . I list new stuff nearly every day and it's been selling very well ,, just not here right now. Tulips

Congrats on your upcoming move! Honeymooned in Hawaii in '87. Now as far as my last sale here, it was over 90 days ago as I pulled all of my 650 listings. Full-time seller for years with over 20,000 transactions. Recently moved a small fraction of inventory to another site and items sell often within hours of listing!
Now, how is that possible?? Visibility helps a whole lot. Since last November I have spent hundreds of hours reading daily here and pulling up older threads. There's alot that has happened here in the last year and especially in the last few months. A big issue is when Ebay is showing your items.
When once a week for a 24 hour period you get lots of offers, then it goes dry, there's a problem. And one week you are getting clustered sales, i.e. in Mexico, Arizona and California. The next week it is in NY, Georgia and North Carolina. And this goes on month after month.
I have rarely come to the community forum until last November. Lots of issues here. Sad to see a so-called "high tech" company operate so sloppily. There shouldn't be all of these almost daily "glitches". Buyers can't pay? Really??
Greg, enjoy your posts on here. I appreciate that you let us know what it is like from a buyer's perspective. I don't buy on here like I used to either as it is too full of Chinese junk and search is a mess. Unless of course you type in what you are searching for and add an extra word like "cheese" to it, maybe you might get what you are searching for.....
BTW, I guess I'm not too bright as I had to learn to add that extra special word by reading on the forum here. Do you really think a buyer would know to do that?

I have not had a 0 sales day since last year when I started selling. I have had low sales day but never 0.

I find it odd that none of your options involve the seller examining his own inventory, listings, or business model.
Competition, pricing, demand, or a change in seller rating could all cause sales to dry up.

I have had two sales in the last 11 days for a whopping total of $12.60 and that includes shipping. I guess that eBay has made too much money this month and doesn't need any more. The only good thing is seller fees this period will be almost nothing. Something has changed and either eBay doesn't want us to know or their "IT" department has screwed up something and now they don't know how to fix it. I think it is the latter.
Good luck everyone.
