Promoting a listing

Hi there everyone, if I sell an item 100% for Charity but also have eBay promote the listing at 9%, would the charity still get 100 % of the value? (Then I would pay out of pocket for the 9%? ) thanks!
il hoping it is this situation because i want to maximize what the charity gets and not interfere with that. Thanks

Here's a link to the rules about charity selling:

https://www.ebay.com/help/account/donating-ebay-charity/buying-selling-ebay-benefit-nonprofit-organi...

If you are using your own account to sell, as a community seller, and choosing to donate a percentage (between 10% to 100%) of the proceeds to a charity, then the charity receives that percentage of the selling price.

You will receive a discount on the final value fees equal to the percentage you donated to charity. "All other eBay fees and charges still apply and do not qualify for a discount."

So, if you donate 100% to a charity, the charity receives 100% of the selling price. You would get a credit for the full amount of the final value fees (so that would be a wash), and you would be charged any promotion or other fees.

Re: Promoting a listing

Cost to promote will come out of funds received first the charity will get whatever is left after fees.

Re: Promoting a listing

Please know the promotional percentage will also include taxes & shipping , not just the cost of item!

Re: Promoting a listing

That's nice of you to offer all proceeds to a Charity, However for them to get more you need to raise the price so that after fees & taxes etc., The amount is what you would like the charity to actually receive.

Re: Promoting a listing

No; $20 sale will have about $4.60 'fees' and then $15.40 will go to charity (not counting shipping costs)
