For the past couple days, my very consistent sales have fallen off a cliff. Almost every sale has been return customers. When I search for my own listings by keyword... NONE of my promoted listings (virtually all that I list) show in search results. Not only am I not getting premium placement... these listings seem to NOT EXIST. The only listings I can find in search results are NOT PROMOTED.
This is KILLING my sales and income... and I can NEVER find a way to get the "support staff" at Ebay address an issue.

Monica Sells - I can find no reason for someone to post to the Ebay community thread so many times that does not sell on the platform... unless it is an Ebay employee.
If that is the case... you are an Ebay Representative... I would like a CLEAR explanation from YOUR SUPERVISOR why you would so casually dismiss my VALID COMPLAINT... and even go so far as to admonish me like a child for adding emphasis to my complaint to show displeasure and create emphasis on importance. Perhaps you should lay off the "chill"... and do your job.

There have been some updates to that thread since I read it, indicating that the ad blocker problem may be solved.......or not.........so please read it.

Horrendous fail....
I wonder how long this went on?
I promote all my listings.
My sales have been 50% down for 6 weeks for a total revenue loss of 2K

Ebay customer service and any other employees are marked if they post to the boards so users know they are here.
A lot of users are not aware of the problem this topic shows..
Please don't let different opinions make you think employee, over user....
Oh and a great many users here use posting ids,
so when some one disagrees with them, their selling is not interfered with.
Does happen..
I acualy advise folks to do so; even though I do not use posting ids..

I promote many of my listings, generally at 1 or 2% and I get many sales from them. I have not experienced any recent downturn in sales, for any of my 4 eBay stores.
Promoted listings could be a problem for some sellers, but there are many other possibilities. I don't doubt that old listings, and especially ones without recent sales, lose prominence in search. Some folks contend eBay is hiding listings. My take is that eBay prefers to increase visibility for listings that have the greatest chance for a sale, and that would include new listings and MQ listings with frequent sales. If your (anyone, I mean) listing has been there since 2018 without a sale, it's time to end and sell similar for better visibility.

So, what this tells me is that they are fully aware of an issue, yet treated me like an idiot for questioning an existing problem?
Just because someone at eBay knows about a potential problem does not mean that every customer service rep will immediately be able to identify that that is what is going on when someone gets in touch with eBay.
In order for a listing to be completely hidden in a search, a series of conditions need to all be met simultaneously. See here for one estimation of those conditions, and how to avoid missing those listings when searching:

What I see from your screen shot is only 21 results.............. so @the_backyard_bear 's listings would have been in the top 21 results anyway and likely most of the actual listings were his...... so you do the math- pay ebay extra to "promote" your listings and have them shown to less people because of the add blocker situation..... or just keep the money and not promote and show up organically on the first page anyway. If you want to generate some more visibly- run a small sale for 5% off and the buyers appreciate it and remember you and you get a customer- promote it and you pay ebay and the customer gets no discount............. Promoted listings ONLY help ebay - not the seller or the buyers. Thats why ebay loves them so much!

It is not about me being to eventually backdoor a way to find my listings... it is an ISSUE that promoted listings are not showing to ANYONE with a basic adblocker. I can understand when advertisements are removed by the adblockers... and that my promotions won't reach those people. But what this means is that the listing does not show AT ALL, not even in basic format... not for me... but for POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS. That means that paying a premium for placement is actually DECREASING my potential view and customer reach, as people who are searching BY KEYWORD, and FAR MORE LIKELY TO BUY... are not being shown my listing AT ALL... EVER.

it is an ISSUE that promoted listings are not showing to ANYONE with a basic adblocker.
Those items are only hidden if a series of different conditions are each met. The vast majority of users can still see all your items.
Any users on mobile devices will see all your items.
Any users not using "best match" sort will see all your items.
Any users not using Ad Block or Ad Block Plus will see all your items, unless they are using those specific anti-circumvention filters.
Any users using Ad Block or ABP but not using anti-circumvention filter options will still see your items.
If the anti-circumvention filters fail to block sponsored listings, all users will see your items.
If your organic listing appears higher in the sort than the promoted version, users will see those items.
If eBay does not suppress your organic listings in best match, all users will see your items.
You may still decide that promoting your item does more harm than good and thus decide not to promote your listings -- and if so, then all users will see all your items.

Monica is NOT an Ebay employee LOL. All Ebay employees are identified as such. MANY people on here use posting ID's also.
I was not aware of any PL/Adblocker issue (off to read it), but I am a heavy user of PL's & despite some apparent issues, 70% of my sales are PL sales, so it must not affect the majority of my buyers. Of course depending on your demographic YMMV.

Everything you explained can be summed up in the following.
If you pay extra... we will hide your results from some people who are searching specifically for a specific item to purchase... and show it to thousands of "customers" who have expressed no interest in the product.

Why would you think that...I saw your post...I tested for you....your ad showed up...I posted my results.....
oh...your exclamation point key is still stuck
WOW!!!!
Congratulations, you have arrived!
First, you're an Ebay employee. Next, you're an Ebay cheerleader. After that, the piece de resistance - the Ebay shill. When you get there you know you're at the top of your game.
This is the thanks you get for VOLUNTEERING your time and energy to help people. It's a great feeling, isn't it? ☹️

Maybe some of you should try social media for your free time

This is a RECENT ISSUE. I have not changed adblocker software. I have not changed anything. The same ads which DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE two weeks ago... have it NOW.
This has nothing to do with 3 year old listing I can't sell... This is for listings that sold 15 times LAST WEEK.
Maybe you haven't noticed an issue... but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I HAVE noticed an issue... and I am TRYING to get someone at this COMPANY THAT TAKES OUR MONEY to address it... or at least acknowledge its existence.
