Problem getting to store categories Sorry... cgi6.ebaystores.com could not be found.

Is anyone else having this issue?

When you try and go into a category or do a search in your store the following error message comes up:

Sorry... cgi6.ebaystores.com could not be found.

It has been happening since around noon eastern today.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks

@mcdougle4248  - this sounds maybe similar to your store link problem the other day.  Were you able to get that resolved?

Same issue here as I can't search my stores.

Sounds to me like it might be somehow tied to my problem.  I reported it, but still the link to my store through a listing page does not work.

Let's ask a very helpful member:

@eburtonlab any thoughts?

If I try to use a different link to reach the same store it gets forwarded to the same insecure and unsearchable page.

If I try to view the store on ebay.ca or other sites, it still provides an insecure page.

I tried a few other stores -- some seem to be insecure, and some not; the problem may be related to the store template used.

Another insecure store link (different store):

http://www.ebaystores.com/cmsmagnetics

Another store link that works:

https://www.ebay.com/str/jmindustrialsurplus

I rarely use the store interface; I prefer to use the "seller's other items" link -- I find it easier to use filters from that page.

Totally off-topic, but I'm with you. I can't stand shopping with the store feature.

Heard from buyres that they are also having this issue. The whole of ebay seems to be an issue these days. I have so much work trying to work around all the glitches and problems with the ebay platform that there is hardly any time left to do anything but the basics for my buyers.

Well I tried changing the theme but the end result is the same. The issue is that the sture URL is indeed http and not https so it will not display because insecure. I see no way how to change that in ebay as the link is generated by itself or am I missing something. I find this rather odd as ebay demands that any images we use are secure but they themselves use insecure pages?  So although the cause is determined, I still see no solution or is ebay forcing us to use 3rd party templates this way?

If you have updated your store to the new template, it may take time for all the links in your listings to be updated to reflect that.

The link to your store on your profile page appears to point to the old template, though. Are you sure you have actually updated your store to the new template?

Insofar I am not a technical wizard I selected a new template (limited selection though) and saved aand adjusted it to get the one showing now. There was no update on the link however. I checked some third party template designers as one of the working links you provided is not based on an ebay template and found that some of them also point to old ebaystores and do not function correctly. From all I can see ebay indicates the correct new https links to go to the shop of a seller in each individual listings but has not adjusted the link of the shop itself.

Same issue here. Shows the store, but as soon as I try to click on something, I get that message. They're eBay links. Aren't they the ones controlling them...??

I've been having the same issue since early last evening. I can get to my store homepage, but clicking on a catagory or typing a word into my store search bar, takes me to an "unfound" page.

I have a similar problem, I can go to my store but no subcategories. Buyers cannot either. How do I report this ? Chrome states my subcategories' are unsafe and browser is blank.

Has anybody found a resolution to this issue yet? I'm having the same problem as of yesterday. Store Category links are broken and search from my store doesn't work.
