Has anyone else had problems getting payment after an item sold? It has been 7 days since my item has sold under buy it now listing. My buyer paid Paypal but they would not accept her payment. We don't know why. eBay says it is a Paypal problem and Paypal says it is an eBay problem. My dashboard says the item is unpaid. It is a "local pickup only" item but eBay will not allow me to accept cash, I don't know why they would have such a policy. Now eBay has sent a message to my buyer that eBay will require another 24 hours to verify payment. Meanwhile, my item is still marked unpaid even though she has tried to pay for the last 5 days. If PayPal has the payment then it should already be verified. This is my first time selling.

Have you added your checking account information so you can get paid? Even if you're selling local for cash you still have to have your payment information linked.

Ebay allows cash for local pick ups..

Your item sold but you were not paid by the buyer. After 4 days of non payment, I would file a 'not paid for' and relist and resell. The buyers problem with PP is their problem (or they are just trying to scam a new seller, sending you a fake 'paid' invoice etc.)
Note; 99.9999% of items sold on ebay are 'shipped' and most don't see the 'local'. I would add that to the Title.

HI! Can we request cash for pick-ups?

Sounds like the buyer has a problem with their account. If you see a notice or invoice from Paypal, you cannot be paid through paypal and receive funds. Your payment from Paypal has to go through managed payments. Did you sign up for that yet? That may also be an issue. Better double check and let us know.
If the buyer doesn't pay, ebay will step and give the buyer a strike. As a new seller you need to be very careful of people who will contact you asking you to text them...strike one,...provide you with an invoice from paypal stating they paid,...strike two and asking you to ship to a family member and add a gift card...strike 3. Don't list anything auction style with best offer. Accumulate some feedback before using that listing option and list all your items as a fixed buy it now price, with immediate payment required checked off. Scammers tend to avoid these types of listings. Good luck to you.
