If i were to buy some of those "overpriced" N95 masks to re-sell, and marked them up using the SAME calculations i use to mark up any of my other items, no more no less, would that be considered price gouging?

It was not a matter of convenience. The OP said they sell for $20 but wants to list them for $200. Ebay does not care how much the OP paid for them.

There. Fixed that for you. Quoting out of context is unacceptable.

No, you're just losing money and being...well...stupid lol

eBay will not look at nor take into consideration how much you paid for them. They will look at steep increase in the price compared to the pre event cost

I would list it auction style. let the buyers gouge themselves. as I learned in the past people will still blame you even if you have only a slight markup but I still say how can it be my fault at such a little markup when they ran it up themselves?
The 9 boxes that originally sold auction style in the other thread for $1125 ( started at $1) got relisted and sold the second time around for a little over $1900 to a buyer with something like 2700 feedback.

There was no need to fix anything I wrote. It was very unacceptable thing for you to do. The OP said they typically sell for $20 and OP asked if they can sell for $201.

I've been on a quest to find the 3-ply masks in the Dallas Fort Worth Area. Walmart retails them for $3 for a pack of 20 and $6 for 50. They are nowhere to be found at any supermarket or pharmacy (Walgreens, CVS, etc) in the area. But they, and similar ones, are being sold every few minutes (literally) on eBay for $30-$60. So, where is the line drawn at "price gouging"??? What is the limit on the mark-up rate? What if a buyer is accused of price gouging, but says "I bought them at $20 a box, so my mark-up is nominal." eBay and Amazon need to let the invisible hand of the free market dictate prices.

You deliberately editted the post to change the statement. InHawaii stated if if buy them for $200, $200 not the $20 that you CHANGED the purchase price to. THAT was you were being called out for, deliberately altering the OP's question.

Ask Ebay what they think of the $20-$201 price increase. It does not matter how the topic started, the real question is it gouging to ask $201. Ebay does not care if you paid $20 or $500. Don't go by what I said and go ahead and list your gouge price and see what happens. You can twist the facts all you want.

The media has been telling people today that wearing a mask might actually increase your odds of getting the virus so there might be a big drop in profit coming.
I wouldn't pay to much of a markup on them if I was going to sell them. never know when the big drop comes and don't want to be holding them at a big expense.
Now if my brother-n-law wasn't sick I probably would have jumped on the band wagon and sold off a few of my dad's extra boxes he had left over but going to him was a good cause. can always make money a different way

I believe editing posts to alter the intent is a board violation (or it used to be)

Oh' geeze, the OP said the item normally sells for $20. Nothing changes that fact regardless of how you want to twist it. Someone who sells a $20 item for $201 is price gouging. It does not matter if the OP paid $200 or $2000.
