Do these sellers realize that price gouging is illegal? I mean, $1,000.00 for 1 ounce of USED hand sanitizer while our nation is facing virus that is killing people is not just wrong, it's illegal. Then there is the fact that as fast as eBay is taking them down they are slipping by, by relisting them time & time again. With the above mentioned item being used, it is potentially not safe anyways. I just don't get how these people are going out buying up as much as they can, keeping it out of the hands of those who fall in the at risk groups & then thinking they will get rich while people are at risk of dying! I just find it really sad that some go that low in our nation. I just really want to know why are these items still for sell on eBay & still being allowed to be posted?

I reported about 50 items six hours ago. The ones that weren't purchased are ALL still up, including an auction for a single 10-oz bottle of Purell that is now over $200.
EBay -- either drop your policy or enforce it.
You'll never get action on an auction because auctions are only for what the market will bear.
If a 10 oz container of purell is going for $200, then all you are doing is hurting all the SJWs screaming about he 10% rider on price gouging, since EVERY auction sets a market price for sale.
edit to add:
If one person will pay $200 on an auction for 10 oz purell than that effectively means every other vendor can legitimately set their prices at $200/10 oz for the same product and be free and clear of the law.
You got it, yet?

eBay's policy says no one may list hand sanitizers at *any* price. Period. Auction, fixed price, anything.

That wasn't until about 2 days ago.
If you think people should not be able to sell hand sanitizers to people who need them, then report them.
That's your prerogative.

No. That was well over a week ago (nine days to be exact).
"Effective immediately, eBay will block new listings and start to remove listings that sell:
Health care masks including N95/N100 and surgical masks
Hand Sanitizer/Gel
Disinfecting Wipes"

And I did report them. That's the point. eBay is administering their policy very unevenly. There are even people doing "Promoted Listings" for hand sanitizers. Any listing using "Purell" or "hand sanitizer" or "Hand sanitiser" should result in the seller immediately being informed that their account will be in danger of suspension if they're selling a disallowed product.
I'd love to hear directly from someone at eBay exactly what the best way to report this is within the "Report an item" structure. Someone suggested doing it via "Listing practices", but I wish eBay would chime in with their preference.
Why report someone selling a product that you allege reduces exposure to coronavirus?

Because allowing price gouging like that encourages profiteers to clear out inventories so that there is nothing left for those who need it, and restricts access to those items to only the wealthy.
Who determines what "price gouging" is? Who determines who is a "profiteer?" Who "needs it?"
What's the cutoff for "wealthy?"
I used to make very low 6 figures... am I "wealthy?" Even if I am losing my house and everything else now... am I "wealthy?"

I have felt the same....EBAY needs to get these people off of the selling pages.
These kind of Sellers DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR FELLOW MAN, only the
ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. I had hoped something catastrophic would never happen
because it only shows the UGLY side of people. ALL FOR ME AND THE HELL
WITH YOU mentality !!

ZERO seller "care about their fellow man" and why would they?
We sell **bleep** online for people like you to buy.
I don't run some SJW political bull**bleep** business. I run his business to sell **bleep** to people and I don't care who you are. You want to buy, then buy it!

Who knows. I only know that eBay has a strict policy -- and *has* had it for nine days, not two as you wrongly stated -- that NO hand sanitizers or masks are to be listed. Their intent is good: remove the incentive for people to purchase items that are in high demand during a time of crisis strictly for the profit motive rather than for their own use.
(And would I call making very low six figures wealthy? Are you serious? No way.).
Its all relative. Low six figures and low sixes to pay the bills. so... not everything is as it seems it is.
The larger the house, the more it costs to run it.

So you think on a Saturday evening that they are going to have enough staff on duty to go through all of this? Unlikely at best. They will eventually get taken down. Ebay has removed 1,000's and 1,000's and 1,000's of listing in the last few days. They just keep coming back like a bad dream. Lots of them are new sellers. Others are posting in obscure categories trying to avoid detection. These THIEVES are trying to be clever.

Maybe this will help you to see more clearly.
Justice Department Cautions Business Community Against Violating Antitrust Laws in the Manufacturing, Distribution, and Sale of Public Health Products
The Department of Justice today announced its intention to hold accountable anyone who violates the antitrust laws of the United States in connection with the manufacturing, distribution, or sale of public health products such as face masks, respirators, and diagnostics. The department’s announcement is part of a broader administration effort to ensure that federal, state, and local health authorities, the private healthcare sector, and the public at large are in the strongest possible position to respond to the outbreak of the respiratory disease named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“The Department of Justice stands ready to make sure that bad actors do not take advantage of emergency response efforts, healthcare providers, or the American people during this crucial time,” said Attorney General William P. Barr. “I am committed to ensuring that the department’s resources are available to combat any wrongdoing and protect the public.”
Individuals or companies that fix prices or rig bids for personal health protection equipment such as sterile gloves and face masks could face criminal prosecution. Competitors who agree to allocate among themselves consumers of public health products could also be prosecuted. The department’s recently announced Procurement Collusion Strike Force will also be on high alert for collusive practices in the sale of such products to federal, state, and local agencies.
Anyone with information on price fixing, bid-rigging, market allocation schemes, or other anticompetitive conduct should call the Antitrust Division’s Citizen Complaint Center at 888-647-3258, or visit http://www.justice.gov/atr/report-violations.
