I have had a store on Ebay for approximately 5 years. Every month before the month is over I receive a message asking me to leave feedback for items sold. I believe that this would be giving buyers a premature feedback. Sellers should have a full 30 days to give buyers feedback that would meet that requirement.
I don't like getting the message every month and I do ignore them. My message is being placed here because I don't appreciate getting any message like these and would like to know how I could forward such a message to Customer Service so they can address the matter. Maybe find out who does this and why.
Does anyone else receive messages to give premature feedback besides me? And why would anyone send a message out like that?

Thank you. It is December 9th, I was asked to provide feedback for this month. It is annoying and I just think that it is an attempt to defraud my account, to set up a smoke screen so I don't get the correct payout. I wondered if anyone else feels like I do.
I have been ignoring such newbies as far as feedback goes.

Every time I log into the seller hub, I try to leave feedback for any transaction that shows "delivered".
I do occasionally get reminders, but the idea of categorizing it as "premature feedback" is your hangup which I do not share.
IMHO feedback is almost meaningless, so I give it as little attention as possible.

Leaving or not leaving feedback has nothing to do with payouts. I can't fathom how you think leaving feedback would be "a smoke screen so I don't get the correct payout".

leaving feedback for a buyer that has paid you has nothing to do with getting your scheduled payouts.

You wonder if anyone feels the same as you?
No, not me.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

Yes I agree. But sellers can NOT turn off the feedback reminders that get sent out to buyers. But Buyers can go to their site preferences as you describe and turn off getting that reminder notice from Ebay.
This is what that screen looks like on a selling account and as you can see there are no options to turn those emails off.

It must be positive.
Only paranoid sellers read it, and they only can after the sale is made.
I have Ebay leave automatic FB because my time has value and when I waste it, I get to choose how I waste it.
It is "worthless and irrelevant" to sellers, but buyers don't have those same feelings.
The part of a buyer's feedback page that I find VERY informative is Feedback Left for Others.

You are a seller, we don't get emails asking us to provide feedback for any month. IDK what you are referring to. Now a buyer might email a seller and request their feedback, that happens.
You are taking this way too seriously, feedback CAN'T "defraud" your account. And I haven't got a clue as to what kind of "smoke screen" you are referring to. Feedback also does not affect your "correct payout". I think you have some really big misunderstandings about leaving feedback.

Because most of my shipments are untracked I make Feedback work for me.
My default FB is "Thank you for your prompt payment. Shipped 9/12/2024 Canada Post Air Mail. "
Which strokes the customer, tells future sellers that they paid immediately, gives the date of shipment, and gives two indications that the shipment will be crossing an international border.
BTW- Sellers who read feedback look at the Feedback Left For Others, which is slightly more likely to reveal what the customer is really like than Feedback Received as a Buyer.

I have learned to stop pumping buyers feedback while mine sits idle.
The other issue is leaving a positive up front and then down the road the buyer decides to post a negative or neutral.
Buyer feedback is meaningless.

I know sellers can't turn off the notification from being sent, but anyone can turn off receiving them. I thought I said that, but maybe not as clearly as I meant to. I was talking about a preference under account preferences>communication preferences>general preferences which allows turning off being notified when feedback needs to be given. I have mine checked to off. This seems like it would solve the OP's issue of receiving the notifications. Your screen shot is from "manage communication with buyers".
There are two difference settings to accomplish two different things.

I would be very happy to be wrong about this. But I do not see in my Preferences where I can do this.
But with that said, I did find it. Your posts inspired me to look closer and I did find it.
For those interested if finding this option, here is a link. It is at the bottom of the page.

IMHO it is odd that they include an email if the feedback is removed. Seems that should be a separate option.
But thank you for getting me to look closer at this. I honestly appreciate it.

I like fast and easy also. I do have the automatic response set up but did not realize that I can turn off the reminder. Thanks
